  1. USAA Front end and DCU as a backbone since its local and offers At home online deposits and low hold time.
  2. The chance of you reaching a 500k to 1Mil will be slim to none. Even with the Sony and Hooters you only have a $7K over all limit. Depending on how old the cards (are guessing 3 years) you will have a very hard time convincing lenders to loan 100K. If you do an appo roma you may see at least 1/3 to 2/3 of you cards getting closed due to excessive pyramiding and apping. I say take things slow, whats the rush, apply for 1-2 cards per year until you get the cards that look most desirable and beneficial to your spending and then have them mature to get CLIs. If you have access to parents who have excellent credit history ask them to put you on their cards as an AU, that way you will show age and creditors may increase the initial credit limits they give you. As always pay your balances in full.
  3. Here is the link to the coupon: Slurpee Coupon Happy Black Friday. As always ask before getting Slurpee or even better call ahead, since some stores are being cheap.
  4. bad, they tend to breakdown pretty easily.
  5. happy thanksgiving. Thank you CB for all the helpful info you provide everyday.
  6. Does this mean any penfed member can join for insurance? ** No go even if you are penfed member, only applies to military personnel.
  7. 7-eleven is giving away free Slurpee(12Oz which is bigger than 7-11 day's serving (7.11oz)) on black Friday (11/26) from midnight to midnight. Coupon will be attached once it is released on Facebook. Remember each 7-eleven is operated independently of corporate, be sure to ask the person at the register before getting your free Slurpee just to make sure the store is honoring the coupon.
  8. News Article Monthly account maintenance: $4.99/ month if daily balance below $1500 Mailed statements: $2 Non Citizen ATM usage: $3.00 The last paragraph states: I am wondering if the customer relationship review entails a credit pull, if not, it's well worth the $25 to talk to them.
  9. You can try calling up navy and having them do a recon or a new app. USA Fed is too much of a pain to deal with the credit card app. If the two departments haven't merged I guess the apps are being decided separately.
  10. Sorry, that wasn't thoughtful of me. What prevented you from being all over this merger? just not being on the boards enough. i'm not actively repairing credit anymore so i'm not in this forum as much as others (money management, student loans, even trawl the mortgage forum tho' i'm not even thinking about buying a home). i literally just saw this post a couple days ago...arrrgh. and the crazy thing? i just started dating a Navy man a few months ago and we were talking about his NFCU card that he's had for 18 years (along with other products he has thru Navy Fed). *sigh* shotgun wedding? j/k (kinda... lol) lesson learned: never stop reading the credit board...congrats on getting in all Can't you get in by having the same address as him without getting married, since household member is one of the criteria.
  11. I will definitely do a walk-through with them before I move out. I guess I am stuck with the extra 20 days of rent gives a bit more time to move things and get ready for the walk-through. It would be funny though if I could write the rent(extra 20 days) off as a moving expense. lol
  12. Something better simulated would be him paying a weeks paycheck worth in rent(averaging out to 4 weeks per month), so: Monthly income after taxes: 1/4 rent to you 1/4 into a savings account 1/2 to spending on car insurance and cellphone bill. * the odd week out gives him a extra treat to if he wants to save it or blow it. remainder of his free time split in to chores he can do around the house. Keep him on a family plan as long as possible for the cellphone; guessing he will want talk, text, and web which will run about $60+ taxes ( T-mobile 500 minutes)
  13. I have been living at a complex for 3 years the lease ended after the first year, the remaining two years I thought the rental was month to months as my lease had not been renewed. My parents decide to find a house they would like to rent. It takes them a few weeks to find a property they like and then bid for rental for property through a rental application and get back confirmation of the bid. What ends up happening is that I go to give notice(40days til move out ) but the LL says I need to provide 60 day move out notice, or I would have to pay the remainder rental for the month after next month. Any suggestions?
  14. Anyone get their deposit yet for this month? There doesn't seem to be a redeem button either.
  15. I think a week of ISS or OSS would have done it along with a formal apology to the kid and maybe his parents. Had a similar situation happen to me in middle school(some kid pulled down my pants in middle of shop class), lasted about a week everybody got over it. What we need are proximity shockers which would go off if another students body parts(hands, legs, mouth) came in close contact with another parts. Would smell a little crispy but all in all prevent these types of amateurish acts. Shockers would go on at preschool come off after graduation of high school. Little barbaric but gets the job done.
