  1. Thank you creditboards in under two years since coming here I was able to get my own home last week. I will be broke but a home is an investment and I'll work my butt off to pay my mortgage. Anyway, when this mortgage hit my credit report I'll be doomed when it comes to credit application so I decided to apply since unfrozen reports will be refreeze at midnight. So here's how I did. Discover more: Got invitation in the mail to apply. I applied and got the 30 day message so I called in and spoke to a rep who asked me some questions and in the end I was given a measly $3K limit. I was very disappointed and I told him if it wasn't for the 0% for 12 months I probably would never use the card. He did however said to call back in 6 months. He asked me about mortgage pulls and I told him they were for apartments. I didn't really lie as I was looking for apartments and houses. NFCU: Applied for $7500 NavCheck instant approval My local Credit Union "people's": I applied for a $3500 personal loan 36 months and it was instant approval. Will pay off within 6 months. Raymore and Flannigans: Have to get furniture for the new home so got instant approval for $5000 0% until 2015. It will be paid off well before 2015.
  2. I got 3 hard hits two days b4 closing.
  3. Hey all, just giving you an update: I GOT THE HOUSE, Closed 2 days ago. At closing the title company came up with the judgment again and they gave me an option to either put up $6000 escrow or my lawyer can sign to it saying he takes full responsibility for it so my lawyer and I went outside and made a deal that if he signs on to it I would pay him $2500 to take care of it for me. We made a deal and closing went on smoothly. My first mortgage payment will be in October so I'm happy. I applied at NFCU for $7500 Navchek and was instantly approved. Thanks all.. I'm an homeowner though I cant move into the place yet until it's renovated.
  4. I think it was found while doing a title search. It wasn't the underwriter that found it I guess.
  5. Thanks all.. I really did not budget for this and I don't know what I'll do if this fell though. Right now I'm staying at my friend in a room living out garbage bags. I was looking to have 6 months mortgage payments set aside so using $4500 would jeapordize that. I was thinking if push come to shove and I have to pay the amount I'll do that then the day after closing apply for a personal loan of $5000 from my credit union. I got a $5K unsecured loan from them last year and paid it back in less than a year so I think I'll easily get that. But just hope everything works out well.
  6. I applied for a mortgage and was preapproved for a 203K loan $348K. I found a house for $255K that needs $42K in renov in NYC. Anyway, the closing I was told is slated for 5/13. So I called my attorney today to see if 5/13 was the definite closing day so I can take the day off from work. He said he will call me back. Thirty minuets later he called me with troubling news. He says I have a judgment from Harvest Credit management from 2005 for $4500. I told him no I do not, I did have a judgment from Harvest and it was vacated after I found out about itin 2009. I still had the paperwork so I looked and saw that I did have a vacated judgment from Harvest but it was for 2004 and the amount was $4460. I gave that to my Attorney and he said he will forward it to see what the other attorney says. None of these are showing up on my credit report. Right now I just know my mortgage will fall through because this maybe a judgment that I never knew about. I'm wondering if these people had two judgments on me why didn't they pursue them both at the same time when they were trying to get payments back in 2008. Anyway, is there any hope of saving this or should I just cut my loses and move on. I've invested close to $2K in this thing already. Mortgage pull scores EX 739,EQ 725,TU 715. I just check creditsecure and nada on it. Just praying that I get this place.
  7. I hope this is posted in the right forum. I've been pre approve and found the house in contract now scores middle is 722. However, my tu have an old charge off that I know should have been off my account at least two years ago. It's an old capital one and only the capital one charge off is showing up. No collection account. When I call capital one they don't speak to me just transfer me to a number with a busy signal. The company is nco. When I call nco they have no info for me. What should I do. What's my next step. I don't want to dispute as that will probably screw up my mortgage.
  8. I got my FHA approval letter today and I see I'm given a rate of 5%. I would like to know if that is high, as per the letter my middle score is 722. I just like to know to see if I can apply somewhere else that may have a lower rate.
  9. I don't think the collection agencies have any say so as to weather a judgment gets posted or not. Judgments are public records and the dogs at the collection agencies find a way to get those judgments on by peeking into the public records. I doubt the judgment will be vacated but probably can change to settled on your credit report "still hurt the same score wise" if u go through the courts. I would suggest trying to dispute it as no such judgment, no such date, no such amount, no such court and see if it works. And no, don't pay $1000 for something you can do yourself.
  10. Thank you all for all your encouragements. I know I would get some support if I came here because I was feeling really down today. I wont let this hold me down though; I've been approved for up to $300K mortgage. I've faxed all info and he says he'll had it in so soon as it's all verified I'll go start looking for a house. It may not be on the beach but I think I'll survive.
  11. oh wow, I never knew this. The rental company did say they were sending me a letter. So this only happens through EX or does TU and EQ do the same thing? It's okay everyone it sunk in already. Is there a way to dispute this information like we do on the regular report. I have no judgments or collections on my report and the mortgage guy says my Ex was 748. Maybe it's for the best so i'll survive
  12. I'm just lifeless now with what happened this morning. I was looking to move and was considering buying or renting. Went to an apartment complex and saw a nice apt across from the beach with terrace. I liked the place even though I would have preferred to be facing the other direction. So I filed out the application and was instantly approved and was to bring the $1350 deposit tomorrow. I left then an hour later got devastating news from the real estate agent that something had come up on my credit report and I needed to call the rental office. Call the rental office and was told a landlord dispute had pop up on my reports. The people from where I live right now were harassing me about my air conditioners that I had too many "3 instead of 2" and would result in my lease termination. I didn't pay much attention to it and I guess they filed something with the courts to get me evicted which I didn't pay attention to also. Long story short I'm still living at the apt and I had to sign an agreement stating I would remove one air conditioner. When the rental office told me about a landlord dispute on the reports I was shocked because I see nothing in the form of a public record, collection on my reports. I asked what reports were pulled and she informed me it was experian. I pulled Experian and nothing on the report about a landlord dispute. I also check through experian backdoor and nothing. Is there a different credit agency that apartment complexes pulls? I like the place eventhough $1350 rent $75 parking a month I think was a bit too much for a 1 br.
  13. Had Navy since the USAFED merger in October. Walmart since 10/08 and that started with $700 Limit. BestBuy was a year ago and started with $3000.
  14. So once you screwed macy's like I did we're banned for life? I probably should have gone into rehab a few years ago when I was told to pay $400 on a card where my limit was $50... NOTTTTTTT
  15. damm Navy slap me with a Hard, should have gone for the Navcheck instead.
