  1. I finally some some life too! I've had the card since 2005 at $200 limit. Had many lates in 2006 where it almost charged off thanks to me stupidly joining a CCC. In 2008 I received goodwill from them removing all the lates. Since then I've had perfect payment history with heavy use, but PIF monthly. They finally bumped me to $1000 limit. I'm excited because I shop there all the time and the card gets you 5% off now.
  2. I just called to see if i could get my brand new orchard card combined with my old orchard card to avoid paying 2 annual fees esp since both the cards have low limits... she said they've stopped doing the consolidation temporarily until Feb or so because the new laws being passed ( prob a bunch a bs) but she said she waive the annual fee for the year and to try back in Feb so that i can consolidate the cards. I'll try back next month to consolidate them and if they say no I may just have to close this new card since i didnt even need it in the first place. I mostly just wanted to get my credit limits up. Anyway at least I don't have to pay the fee for the year until I figure out what I want to do with this card.
  3. Did you send the gw letters up the management chain or continued straight with cust service / credit dept? most of my success came from higher ups

  5. FWIW I have had great success with goodwill. So don't give up! It took multiple tries for many of them to pay off. Also don't forget gw in the form of email that worked well for me also. I had gw success with Chase, Target,( Express, Abercrombie, and Victoria's Secret ...all the same bank- got all 3 done together in one letter) and Macy's. So Goodwill DEF does work!
  6. I have had an orchard mc for almost 3 yrs which has only recently been increased to a whopping $420. I don't know what made me apply for a second card yesterday but I did. Well I was approved although I don't what the credit limit is yet though. I started thinking that maybe I could just combine the new card with my older card for a higher limit. Then I wouldn't have to pay 2 annual fees right? I'd rather just have one orchard card with a higher limit. Any1 have any luck doing this? Thanks!
  7. i just used the CEO of Card Services....you can Pm me if you cant find it
  8. and also Brian B just told me i was pre approved for a mortgage yesterday... so just keep at it and before you know you'll be getting the "congratulations you're approved" too!
  9. For what its worth I've gotten my scores up 250- 300pts in the last yr.... They were in the 400s last year so getting your score to a 620 in a yr is way more than achievable. Also as far as down payments, fha only requires 3.5% down but if you have the means to pay more and it will leave you in a comfortable position (accounting for reserves, closing costs, new furniture, home repairs ,etc) than its always good to knock that money off your mortgage.
  10. Congrats DragonFlyer!!! I was also thinking about asking Brian B for help after reading all of his friendly responses to everyone. I have a few questions for you tho now that you're approved. Whats your fico range? And more importantly how many baddies do you still have on your reports(if any). What do these baddies consist off (30/60/90 lates, CO, judgements, etc)? Just trying to see if its worth me hassling him. TIA!
  11. Thanks. I figure they probably always hear long bs stories. I didn't want to waste their time or my own and I think it paid off. It also helps that since my account was paid off I had nothing to lose. I just wanted to emphasize the trouble the PAID account was still giving me without sounding like it wasn't my responsibility in the first place. I'm pretty sure that's the exact point of a goodwill letter.
  12. Congrats! Would you share the email for chase please? Thanks the chase email is essentially the same exact email i used for macys but with the corresponding dates
  13. the account was a paid charge off when they deleted
  14. I had success getting a 3 yr old paid co off report (it wasnt rehabbed bc it was paid overtime thru cccs). I used a goodwill email to an exec.
