  1. "Pre-Quailified" is not qualified.. you won't necessarily get THAT card that you're "Pre-Qualified" for. Generally this only happens if something has changed on your credit report from the time they obtained the information the first time to pre-qualify you for a credit card and the time you accepted the pre-qualification. Once they saw that change, they decided against their original pre-qualification, but qualified you for the card you actually got. At least that's how it was explained to me when I worked for Chase.... I'm sorry you didn't get the card you didn't want in the first place...
  2. Just my own personal opinion, but I guess I don't see the responsibility is applying for a card that wouldn't belong to you, but someone else who isn't of even legal age to apply.
  3. Getting big limits isn't always an automatic deal with some people. There are a ton of factors that creditors take into consideration when issuing credit limits and whatnot. Considering the economy and whatnot, creditors are probably tightening up (I wouldn't know since I don't use credit cards at the current moment).. but I would say that his income level would play a big part on the consideration of his opening credit limit and what his file looks like right now.
  4. Okay, fantastic. I wrote up my letter for my personal info like that. I just numbered through it and mentioned I had several issues from the start. Thanks so much guys!
  5. Oh.. okay.. Thanks =)
  6. Where do you get PFICO from?
  7. Also, should I write different letters to the same CRAs about my address, SSN, DOB, etc.. or is it okay to include all that information in one letter? I just have a fear they'll only fix the first thing I request and ignore the rest.
  8. Well, DH and I are looking to buy a certain house. With how much incorrect information there is on my file, I felt it important to get the info corrected first so it doesn't look so bad on me.. A lot of it I think is stuff that the finance company can see is incorrect due to the automatic stay and then seeing that they tried collecting after my file date.. so I don't know how much of a difference it will make. We're hoping to make an offer on the house here by the end of the month at the most. We were wanting to make the offer last month, but we're still needing to go over a lot of things with the realtor before we do anything.
  9. Okay.. I'll dispute it through the CRA first. I've never been late on anything or missed a payment or anything of the such, so even if it was before I filed, it'd still be wrong.
  10. I'm not too sure where to post this as it has to do with lates, but it also references my BK.. can anyone critique this for me to see if this is doable? I'm just preparing my letters now and after I get my identifying information fixed on my CRs, I'm going to start sending these off. Citi Group Po Box 6241 Sioux Falls, SD 57117 800.950.5114 Hot Rod Zombie My Address Account Referenced: XXXX To whom it may concern, Upon receiving copies of all three of my reports from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, I have noticed you are reporting a past due balance of $1,111 on all said reports with a balance of $5,772.00. Considering I filed Chapter 13 bankruptcy on 29 August 2008, I request validation of these late payments, as I’m positive I have never been 30 days or more late on a payment. If these late payments cannot be verified, I ask that you delete this trade line from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, as well as any other credit reporting agencies you may have reported it to. As of 29 August 2008, you are bound by the permanent stay issued by the federal bankruptcy court. Sincerely, Hot Rod Zombie
  11. Okay, so I need to get an updated license.. I'm moving soon though. Lol - I guess I'll have to chuck out $36 to get it updated twice.. or can I just send a copy of a utility bill or something?
  12. Ab. So. Lutely.
  13. I did get all three. The information I listed is among all three credit reports.. mostly on all three. -- I just wanted to know if I needed my SSN.
