  1. The 609 letters are the same as just saying "not mine"....nothing magical there at all
  2. Got it. Thank you!
  3. Thank you for the reply Whychat. I removed the account from my report so that part is fine. Basically I'd like to give the car back as I dont use it anymore but I want to make sure that wont reset the SOL and allow them to sue me for the deficiency. A recovery company called me, they arent reporting on my credit, and they havent mailed anything, but the whole thing is just a pain.
  4. Auto loan in CA. Car was never repossessed. Its been over four years since last payment so SOL on the loan is up. If the car is repossessed in the future is the OC able to sue for any deficiency? Couldnt find an answer via search.
  5. Just send a full cease and desist letter to ASSet acceptance, certified return receipt. mail attn legal dept. If it doesnt come off in 3 weeks, file a BBB complaint. They will get it handled eventually in this case.
  6. Does anyone know of a mortgage site where I can pay for and have a mortgage trimerge where I can see my actual FICO and accounts? Seems easier than finding a mortgage broker to do it.
  7. I received my TU report after a dispute. 2 items came be verified, no change. In the report, it states verified date as 7/2007 and 12/2007. Wouldnt the item need to state verified date as 10/2011?
  8. anybody on this? Im going to hit the FCRA and see if there is anything in there, but I was hoping someone could give me a quick answer.
  9. I only have 3 negatives on Transunion. Results came back all verified...grr! One says "date verified" 7-2011. The other 2 say "date verified" as 1-2007 and 10-2007. Are these last two a FCRA violation since they werent updated? Any good letters to send? thank you!
  10. PenFed and USAA generally require 700+ FICO for approval. In this credit environment I would work on getting those last few derogs off before applying anywhere. Try Navy if you need another card...they are fine with having two maybe three credit cards.
  11. Did anyone ever find out how to force the CRAs to use expedited dispute resolution?
  12. Has anyone found a way to force a CRA, specifically Equifax, to use Expedited Dispute Resolution? I have 2 negative items on there and I need to buy a car asap. I dont want a high rate, so I want perfect credit, even if its temporary. Any ideas? thank you in advance!
