  7. My wife and I made a mistake in purchasing a timeshare through consolidated resorts. This past Nov they offered to cancel our purchase in exchange for a Quit Claim Deed. I have a letter from them that says if we signed it they would update our credit file to reflect "Settled". I just pulled our reports and found the following info: Exp: Legally paid in full for less than the full balance -- COMMENTS: Election of remedy - reported by subscriber EQU: Pays account as agreed -- COMMENTS:SETTLEMENT ACCEPTED ON THIS ACCOUNT PAID ACCOUNT / ZERO BALANCE TU: Paid or paying as agreed -- COMMENTS:Settled; less than full balance Is there anything I can do to fix this? Should I send a copy of the letter to the CRA? Please help!!! Thank you

  12. I reside in Pennsylvania. My children have been attending a Catholic School and we were looking to move to a new parish and enroll them in the new school. We registered them at the new school only to find out the old school would not release their records because we still owe a tuition balance. We later found out that the original school sent an email to the new principal with our entire account history including all the payments we had returned for NSF. They utilize a 3rd party to collect the tuition through an automatic withdraw from our account. This is the printout they forwarded. Is this legal? Are they considered a creditor? Is it legal for them to with hold the educational records? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time. Ed
