Are you kidding me!?!?! I have been on here for quite some time and have absolutely no idea what is going on half the time. These people you find that are "helpful" and the "cool kids" are the ones that have paved the way for ANYONE to be able clear up there credit. It is very important to understand that when you are new YOU MUST READ EVERYTHING YOU CAN ABOUT YOUR SITUATION and then some. It has taken me many years to get where I am and I am still working on it. I have tons of questions but instead of asking all the time I read post after post from over ten years ago. Some of it relevant and some not. Everyones motives are different. Coming on here and being pushy the way you have is NOT a good way to get help. edited to correct sentence structure....

Couple 30 day payments, try to drop entire account from report?

This! I made the mistake of disputing lates on two closed accounts for the same time. So instead of just removing the lates from the dispute one of the TL's was removed. It was one of my oldest accounts and killed my AAOA. So be careful when disputing lates if the creditor does not respond in a timely manner to the CRA or not at all they will remove it. This was my experience. Try GW letter... -

+1 Not trying to be a buzz kill but... EXP("The Devil") is notorious for doing whatever they want. Also they legally have 30 days to investigate any dispute. You will need to remove any old addresses associated with this dispute(Not easy with EXP). Please understand I am not trying to discourage you or say it can't be done in a quick manner. It just depends on whether the CA responds in a timely manner whether it is good or bad. If they do not respond and can't provide EXP with the correct info then it will get removed. Why Chat, Have an interesting update to all of the previous posts. It seems that after not recieving any communication from EX about my pre-hippaa dispute. I then recieved a "suspicious activity" letter from them. So at that point they put a fraud alert on my report then the other two got this as well. 1- EX (suspicious activity,fraud alert) no communication about dispute from them 2- EQ deleted 3- After getting fraud alert mailings from all three I sent in for my free reports. When I recieved my reports they were completely clean of Stallings Financial. Yes TU and EX. 4- I did not dispute Stallings on TU during the same time I disputed with other two. 5- Apped for two new cards and approved using TU on 10/28. WM Discover and Barclays 6- Got new Fico from both on 11/5 and they stated collection/public record now reporting. Pulled TU and found Stallings back again after they deleted it the month prior. So at this point TU is clean of previous addresses. Even though it was deleted are they not supposed to notify me within 5 days of reinserting? I have disputed this line a couple of times before without any luck came back verified each time. Should I just start over with them as it has been more than 60 days from previous dispute using different form of letter content? Just call them and ask them why? Also since EX is not reporting this line either and never responded to my dispute in the first place(most recent one). They started the whole FA situation and suspicious activity which I think is due to there stall tactics. Not sure where I stand with them either. So any ideas? I completely agree. Your issue is baffling not sure why they won't accept some other form... Have you asked them if you could use a cellphone billing statement? That should be considered a utility bill. Right???

I am going through something similar with Barclays. Just apped last weeked and approved for Rewards MC. So when I get card I set up my online account. During that time I tried to set up my PIN and then it said my information does not match public records. So I call and find out that my account is locked until I send in my DL and SS card. They will not accept me sending it in via fax only snail mail. While I will do this I find it very interesting that everything they asked for during initial app and recon CLI was the exact same thing that is on my TU report. What may be the problem is that they can't match me to Lexis/Nexis for which I have opted out of. I also was approved for Walmart Discover and my phone number is not on my report. Wonder what will happen when I get that card...

So I was wondering since I was approved for Walmart Discover last week. Could I call GECRB and get a Care Credit line with same pull?

You never know until you try. Right? I have been rebuilding for years and had some setbacks along the way. Pushed through them with the fine folks here at CB! Finally have all of my reports clean for a change. Just takes some time doing it though.

So after reading this post I decided to pull the trigger and app online. Was approved initially for $800 and then called the UW and asked for $25,000(thanks Mariuszh for the suggestion). Put me on hold and came back with $10,000. Happy with the outcome. Do not know my TU fico as I just got it clean a month ago.

+1 Twitter works wonders too! Companies or at least somewhat respectable companies absolutely detest having these issues for everyone to see. While I can't speak for Kohl's I do have firsthand knowledge of someone who did something like this. Within an hour of the post they were contacted and there issue was resolved. Whether yours will or not will depend on how much they value getting there name smeared on a public page. Good luck. Keep us posted! -
Thanks for all the replies. I have checked everything I can think of(key logger and etc...) but it could be one of the million things I can't check. Guess what upsets me is that this card number is only a few months old from the first time this happened. Do not have any ACH or recurring bills using it. Have only used it for some stores(less than 20 purchases) I use frequently with other cards . There is only one item I bought online. It was two days prior to the fraudulent charges. Anyway I have cooled down about it and am consulting a friend who is an IT manager on using some password software. Not sure what else can be done. As far as the NFCU I did travel via car across the states to CA and back and used several different cards. Like CG stated it could have been a skimmer. Who knows???
