  1. Well honestly i don't even know the amounts of the debts held by them. That's why I'm trying to get the information first. I'll look for the DV stuff now.
  2. Okay two questions. 1) I want to fax both of them, to request in writing, the account information, orig. creditor, the CA's info etc. to be followed by CRRR mail the same day. Not a good idea? (Basically I want to tell them not to call my house at all hours of the day and that everything with them must be in written communication) 2) They both (reps from both places) do the whole scare tactic thing etc. saying I can't do that, I'm delaying, they are going to "move to action" immediately (like they try to give me some day in the following week that the creditor is wanting to do something to me etc. ) My question: I have never been notified of these debts other than the phone calls that just started. I have the right to ask for all the information, verify it and THEN set up arrangements right??? I do have the right to communicate with them via written media and not on the phone?? From all that I have read here, and what I knew previously I thought I had these rights. I just want to make sure I'm not being purple and landing myself in court??? These are very recent to collection, and like I said I have never once received a written letter regarding the account or payment or anything. I do not want to shirk my debt. i do owe it. I do want to pay it off, even fees. It's the right thing for me personally, however stupid it may sound. I was a moron financially and irresponsible, and I want to make it right even if I get no gold stars for it. I want to gradually repair my credit and learn how to manage money and eventually grow it So am I right in faxing them both a letter, and also CRRR'ing it to them same day? Can put that all further communication be in writing or fax? or should I just say in writing only?

  4. Is your business reported to Chex or are you? Just wondering as I need business checking now too, and I'm wondering if they run the owners or just the company.
  5. Oh wow! I thought I was the only one with a weird thing from GoDaddy on Certegy. Thank You so much for posting this!!! I was at a loss as to how to dispute the 11 dollar item showing up. Mine I guess says it's a check. I've never actually written a check to GoDaddy whatsoever much less for 11 bucks. So I will try to get my report from them in the morning, then dispute it. Certegy is what actually got me with WAMU when I had to use that stupid yellow signature check at Target. This was when I had nothing on Chex even, but it made WAMU pull a Chex a week later the same day BOA had reported me.
  6. Okay so I totally screwed myself by not applying to JFCU weeks ago. Now they use chex. What other credit unions in the CA area can I try? I really need a regular local bank I can walk in and deposit my paychecks to. We don't have direct deposit. I can't believe I missed out on JFCU!!! I am still going to finish my application with them. I already applied a week and a half ago but they needed my notarized DL and a proof of current address because we're military and DL addy doesn't match house. On my application I sent them it had my info I believe... like SSN and such. So any chance that they might not run me? There is an Island Credit Union, San Diego Credit Union... I am just scared to call and ask them if they run Chex... like if they don't and I ask.. then they will run it on me because I asked or something.
  7. They asked me for my articles and such. I faxed over and then called back I think, and they had approved us for $2000. But I still can't get Office Max, Lowes, Walmart or the like.
  8. you are confused Walmart and Lowes are GE accounts they will pull EQBiz Okay wow now I really am confused LOL! The lady said she had both my Walmart and Lowe's apps in front of her, and when I asked her how on earth she had that she laughed and said the accounts are actually offered by HSBC. I need to read more.
  9. grrr HSBC doesn't like me I guess. I incorporated in 2004, but they (Lowes) wanted PG?? I didn't realize Walmart was an HSBC so it got the same response (not in business long enough). I had to call SOS and find out what was going on, then call Lowes back. Same thing with OM... they both are pulling weird information about my company and dates. I don't see where they are getting on D&B or anything either. Office Max is way frustrating me LOL! I need to research and find out who HSBC has so I don't apply there right now. Now I'm frustrated. Approved for 4000 with Office Depot and 2000 with Staples no problem, no PG. I really would have liked Lowes and Walmart, as we can get many of our supplies at those two places for our presentations and such. Any idea who to call besides the Lowes or OM underwriting numbers? Both people on those numbers literally weren't making any sense and appeared not to know what they were doing, even the supervisors were confused over what the information was.
  10. I was wondering the exact same thing as OP's orig. post. My company only had a 877 number, and I just called 411 and was surprised to hear the number and our address. The only thing I ever used was listyourself.com a few times a few years ago. I do need to change the number they have listed and am not sure how to do that one though. I liked the 877 number because I could forward it to anything I needed to no matter where I was. It is showing as a land line on 411 I guess? How do they check what is a land line and what isn't??
  11. I don't get these people. First they say I've only been INC'd since 12/2007. I incorporated in 2004. So I send them the docs. Then I call the SOS in NV. Supervisor there says she doesn't get what Office Max is looking at. It's clear that we've been Inc'd since 2004. So I call back today to check on status etc. The lady is telling me that they need a copy of my DL and SSN card. I say what for? I don't have a PG on there nor am I required to give one. She says the EIN I provided is actually my SSN. That the report they are pulling shows it as my actual SSN. I tell her that isn't possible, and I can fax her my EIN letter. She says they don't want that they want the DL and SSN card. I asked her if what they were trying to ask me for was a PG?? She says no. She keeps telling me that their internal database, which pulls from "public records", is showing that my EIN is my SSN. She won't tell me where they are getting that info from. Because it is showing as my SSN they want my DL and SSN card faxed (personal guarantee). So I'm going to have a problem now with all HSBC cards? I don't know who that all encompasses. Anyone have an idea what I should do?
  12. I'm confused? I need the right address to send letters to, to tell them phone communication is a no go and mail only. I looked online at the Nelson Watson site and the only contact info they have is for sales and an email for collections that I sent to, it bounced back. That's why I was wondering if anyone here has a current Cap One debt with the same people who could give me the addresses they use. @ diggingout I will try that Capital One number thanks!
  13. I am slowly working my way through my debt and trying to get them all worked out and start paying them off. So now I'm on to my Capital one card. I had a limit of 300 but after late fees were done and over limit fees were done, times a few months I'm at like 700 something. I had a collector call me, who wouldn't tell me what office they were from. Just that they now had my Cap. One account and were going to sue if I didn't pay. I told him I needed Name, Address, Phone, Fax, Account information, Balance and fees. He started in with I have all that, all you need to know is balance and make payments. I said no I don't. He kept saying that they would directly recommend filing suit then. I said I have the legal right to ask this information and verify it, before I make any payment arrangements. He also told me that I didn't have the right to take my time in doing these things, that it was stalling. I told him that I would make payment arrangements via documented mail, after I verified everything. he said I couldn't do that. I asked him if he realized that he was refusing to set up payment arrangements with me whatsoever? That if he refuses to take a payment from me, regardless of the amount that it can negate my obligation to pay them at all in some cases? He eventually i think got wigged out and way frustrated. But I still couldn't get the damn info from him about the collection agency etc.! I didn't even start out defensive or angry or even unpleasant. I was polite and simply asked for the norm info, and was a very willing participant I have never received anything from Cap One or a CA regarding the account being in collections at all. No statements since last year, just like with Premier. Even though my mail forwarding worked for everyone else. (except for the one acct with BOA when then forced it back open to reverse a claim and charge fees... odd that one... since all BOA accts EXCEPT that one showed up just fine...) So anyways. I have called Cap One several times this week. Each time I get all the way to rep, verify acct, get transferred to right department, and get hung up on!!!!!!! This time I actually got far enough to hear that it was Nelson Watson.. then someone obviously picked up the phone and then dropped it. I did a search for Nelson Watson using the search feature. but didn't actually find a thread that answered what I should do. I looked up their website, no info for the collections side. Their email bounced. Anyone have a current Nelson Watson Address for Capital One collections? I would call Cap One again but literally I keep getting hung up on each time I'm connected to them. This is without saying anything to anyone, no being rude, no nothing. The Cap One rep also won't give me that info, they just say they have to connect me. I haven't had any communication with them since that one phone call.
  14. Yeah, that's what my response was, but I figured can't hurt to ask everything here. It surprised me that they didn't have it already.
