Wow! Good for you! I'm waiting to get my Target card as we speak. My credit to start is also 200.00. My GF likes to shop there so it will be used a lot...lol. Maybe I'll call on my 22nd b-day to ask for an increase.

I had something similar when I applied for my Macy's cc. I had an fraud alert on my EQ report & it stated online that I needed to contact them to perform additional info. I called & verified who I was & got approved!

That does seem strange. I too have Equifax score watch & haven't had any problems yet. I would call to find out what's up. I would also have them to throw in some new reports for the inconvenience.

Hi All! I just applied on Macy's website for their credit card & was told to contact the credit department asap to verify information. I still have to take off the fraud alert on my Equifax report due to address change...lol! So I called & verified some info & got approved @ $400.00 cl to start & in 6 months to call for another increase! Only had a few questions for you all... Is Macy's a reputable card on my credit profile? Whom do they bank with? Again I'm excited to have my first department store credit card!

Hello All! Being only 21yrs old I don't have a lot of credit history like must of you all have here but I have been working on getting a Bofa credit card account off my report completely. It was one of my very first credit cards trades lines & regrettably I had 8 months of consecutive lates due to a bad communication error on the Bofa's behalf. Anyways that account was closed by them & paid in full back in 2006. I spoke to a few different Bofa credit officers regarding what had happened during that 8 months of time (College) and none would admit bank error or help me get this off my report. Two weeks ago I spoke with a really nice Bofa credit officer & she sent me documentation that shows the account being paid off in full & closed back in 2006. Now keep in mind my credit report from Equifax at the time showed my Bofa account at $0 due, last activity was in 2006. Early last week I checked an alert on my Equifax report & it stated that there was recent activity with my old Bofa account & now the amount due changed from $0 to N/A. I called Bofa yet again regarding what I had just seen on my report. The rep put in a dispute regarding the changes that made to the amount due & account activity date. Immediately after that I made an online dispute on Equifax stating how could an closed account be active when closed & I was never late due to bank error & that it should be removed ASAP. Well I got an email showing my results...The whole account was deleted! Rather quick don't you think? I'm very happy but I'm just trying to figure out which dispute made that happen? The one the Bofa rep put in or the Equifax I did right after speaking o the rep. So I guess my real question is....Is it gone for good? Appreciate you all reading this semi-long story! Any info is very much welcome!
