  1. Did exactly what you stated and they upped it to $600. Eh, not bad. Still my lowest card. But it shows I'm doing better managing my portfolio of credit.
  2. I personally used for years: coupondede.com. It's not free, but you only pay for the coupons you want for cheap. I never paid more than $7.00 for 60 hand picked coupons (plus delivered to your mailbox is a plus).
  3. I I have a story similar to Gregg's. Who is held accountable when hospitals or medical facilities makes mistakes like that? I've been fighting for 2 years over multiple medical billings because the wrong insurance is billed. But the first thing the doctor office wants (well second after your co-payment) is your updated insurance information. One bill, I had to literally take time off of work, go the clinic, make the medical billing specialist call the collection company in front of me (and she basically didn't want to be bothered) to make sure I wasn't going to get stuck with an collection account because of the mistake of the medical billing specialist. I mean, it makes you want to punch babies because of the process they put you through (I would never hit a baby though... ) Now I go in doctor offices harassing the medical billing specialist or whomever I need to harass to make sure the correct insurance is billed. I get names, phone numbers, dates, times, and blood if needed. I mean, I go to the doctor office sick and still have to do someone's else job to keep my finances straight... it's beyond ridiculous.
  4. I hope they are more CLI friendly. I've been at $200 for 10 years and I always pay my balance off in full. If it wasn't one of my oldest accounts, this card would've met the shredder years ago.
  5. Discover It 1,000 Walmart 700 Sams Club 600 Originally I was going for the Walmart and Sam's Club discover cards. I guess I didn't qualify. The the following week I apply for the Discover It card and was approved. Go figure...
  6. I'm living that right now. I hate it so much. They are my only bad items on my credit report (Judgment, CO, JDB) and I've tried everything.
  7. I like it. The card is heavier and weird looking. The clerk at the store thought I was giving her a fake card because the numbers and your name are on the back of the card. But I primarily use it for my job catering orders and what not.
  8. 649 - Time to knock down the student loans and pretty much wait until 2014 for the paid tax lien and judgment to fall off.
  9. 653 to 650. Bought my mom a car and gave her a $500 gas card.
  10. Bumpity Bump for anyone's 2 cent!
  11. Hello All: I’ve been trying to get my credit back together after a few layoffs, demotions and helping with my mom’s foreclosure in 2009. It seems like I get one baddie off and 2 are added on. I’m not quite to how to attack these. I apologize for the long post. But any insight would be greatly appreciated. Please advise me on the following negative accounts below: 1. Bank of America (was MBNA for Gateway Computers) Status:CHARGE-OFF Type of Account:R evolving Credit Limit: $0 Date Opened: 12/1999 Balance: $0 Date Reported: 10/2010 Amount Past Due: Date of Last Payment: 06/2008 Date of Last Activity: N/A Date Major Delinquency First Reported:05/2008 Transfer/Sold Charge Off Amount: $2,333 Date of First Delinquency: 12/2007 Notes: This was bought by Midland, which I went to court for and setup payment plan. I am currently paying them off and should be done by May 2012. In 2010, once my mother’s foreclosure dust settled, I wanted to pay BOA directly, but they stated it was too late and they had sold the account. After chasing numerous CAs, it finally fell in Midland’s lap and they took me to court. 2. Charter One Status: PAYS AS AGREED Type of Account :Line of Credit Credit Limit: $500 Date Opened: 07/2005 Date Reported: 12/2011 Amount Past Due: Date of Last Payment: 05/2011 Date of Last Activity: 05/2011 Date Major Delinquency First Reported: Activity Designator: Paid and Closed Date Closed: 05/2011 Comments: Account closed at consumers request, Consumer disputes after resolution Notes: Was late in 2009 (60 days) and 2010 (30 days). Closed because Charter One Bank fees were getting crazy. 3. Citibank CBNA Status:PAYS AS AGREED High Credit: $1,138 Type of Account :Open Date Opened:01/2008 Balance: $976 Date Reported:02/2012 Amount Past Due: Date of Last Payment:01/2012 Actual Payment Amount: $207 Date of Last Activity:02/2012 Date Closed: Comments: Account closed at consumers request Notes: In 2009, all my money went to help my mom during her foreclosure and Citibank setup a payment plan with me and lowered my interest rate. I’m currently paying them now and should be completed by the end of the year. As far as I know, this account is closed even though it reports open. I guess it should say closed at consumers request because I accepted the offer from Citibank to pay the account and lower the interest rate. I have a few lates in 2008 (1-60 days/2-90) and 3 in 2009 (3-90 days). I’ve been current and timely since then. 4. Detroit Edison Status: PAYS AS AGREED High Credit: $1,138 Type of Account :Open Date Opened:01/2008 Balance: $976 Date Reported:02/2012 Date of Last Payment:01/2012 Actual Payment Amount: $207 Date of Last Activity:02/2012 Comments: Account closed at consumers request Notes: This is my electric/gas utility company. I am currently on a budget plan and required to pay $207 a month. I don’t know why it states account closed at consumer’s request. It’s saying I was late in 2010: 120 days /2-180 days and in 2011: 180 days late. I’m not going to lie, I probably was 1-2 days late after the due date, but I was never 120 or 180. I always paid them. I don’t understand the lates, especially since I’m on a budget plan with them. I was 30 days late in December of 2010 and they shut off my gas/electric (I wasn’t behind or anything, just late, hard ball I suppose). 5. Midland Credit MGMT Status: High Credit: $2,284 Type of Account :Open Date Opened:10/2010 Balance: $1,734 Date Reported:01/2012 Amount Past Due: $1,734 Date of Last Payment:12/2011 Date Major Delinquency First Reported:12/2010 Type of Loan:Factoring Company Account (debt buyer) Date of First Delinquency:11/2007 Comments: Collection account Notes: Midland bought the BOA account that was listed as #1. Agreed with them in court to pay the $250 over the next few months until paid and then they would remove the judgment (as stated on the court documentation). Public Records: 1. State of Michigan – tax lien – released 7/2010 - $546. Notes: I didn’t know that setting up a payment plan with the State automatically required them to place a lien on the report. I understand I’m stuck 7 years with this one. 2. Midland Credit MGMT – Judgment - $2453 Notes: Case numbers are correct (checked against my court paper work). I’m really hoping they remove this judgment after I finish paying in May. Again it is stated on official court documentation they would after amount has been zeroed out. We’ll see. I have some medical collections (Paid and unpaid) I am working on now. Hoping to get those taken care of too using WC HIPAA Letter Program. Thanks!
