  1. I don't know what to do. I've been reported to Chex Systems by Bank of America because someone wrote me a bad check. I've talked to several people and they will not help me. I do not owe them any money, but they closed out my account. I am also on Chex Systems by Wamu - I owe them money, but I'm currently working w/them to pay it off. I cannot seem to get a bank account anywhere now that BofA closed my account. I need a bank account - I cannot live w/out one. TCF opened my account, let me fund it, sent me checks, and the closed it. Fifth Third approved me, and when I went into the branch to fund it, I was denied. National City denied me. Charter One denied me. Chase denied me. Would a credit union approve me? I'm currently looking into those. I applied for an online payment account through HSBC and I was apparantely approved, I just need to mail a check in...but I don't really get how this account works. I won't get checks, so how will I pay bills? Also, how do I make deposits? They won't close my account after it's opened will they? Any suggestions/advice?
  2. I'm not sure if this is the right place for my post or not, but who the heck is Geneva Roth?? They debited my checking account this morning for 5 seperate charges of $90 a piece and I'm pissed. I googled them to find they are some sort of payday lender, but I have NO idea how they could have gotten my bank account info. I've taken out one payday loan in my life, last August and paid it in full when it was due. I also had a completely different bank at the time. How did this happen? If I call my bank, Bank of America, can file a claim and get my money back?? Help!
  3. Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I received my pay check today. I have a checking account with Bank of America. If i deposit it to my checking account, will my money be available right away? If not, how long does it take? I'm wondering if I should just cash at the currency exchange. Thanks!
  4. Hi all, this is my first post on this forum, but I've been reading for weeks. I really hope I can find the help I need here. I'll try to make a long story short. I have about $30k in unsecured debt. Currently, I'm enrolled in a debt settlement program with Credit Solutions, but I'm starting to wonder if they are just scamming me. I fear by signing up w/them, I've done horrible damage to my credit. They have you stop paying your cards all together. Which is fine, because I stopped prior to joining them. However, now I just got an arbitration letter from Mann Bracken about one of my Chase credit cards. I don't have the money to settle right now. I don't know what to do. I have about 5 cards w/approx $30k of debt. I'm not married, I rent. I don't even have a car right now. I don't think I want to file bankruptcy, but I also only know the bad things about it. Does anyone have any advice for me? Should I not be enrolled w/Credit Solutions? Is there a better debt relief program out there to help me? What do I do w/this arbitration letter from Mann Bracken to avoid getting sued? Sorry for all the questions - I'm confused and trying to figure out the best possible way to get out of debt.
