  1. the last 4 #'s on the receipt were my amex blue card. my amex card was in back pocket and i didn't take it out until after i was looking at the receipt to match up the last 4 #'s on my card.
  2. this was done at pizza hut, they swipe the card. and yes it did charge my amex account and it shows pending charge on their website.
  3. So I went to Pizza Hut this evening to pickup a carryout order and I gave the lady at the register my Discover card, she looked puzzled and had someone else(a manager I think)look at it and she tells me my Discover was showing up as a AMEX, the manager said it didn't matter because obviously they got their money. Has anyone ever had this happen? I assume this happened because I my Discover and AMEX blue card are right by each other and something with the magnetic strip? Kind of disappointing since I actually wanted to get the 2% cashback, oh well it wasn't even a big purchase.
  4. Something like that happened to me before. I went to a club on 4th of July weekend, used my AMEX blue for $240. Waited a couple days to see if the charge would show up it didnt and more days, weeks went by and then it showed up on my AMEX on like 9/27.
  5. Who did those apps, you or the dealer? I did it online.

  7. Basically, I went to a nightclub the night of July 3rd, in the early am of July 4 I gave them my AMEX blue card I signed it for $236.00. I checked my recent activity a couple days later and it didnt show up and I kind of thought I maybe got lucky. I never heard a thing about it until I saw the charge a couple days on September 28, is that legal for them to do?
  8. thanks for the advice brian & jop3, I guess i'll go ahead with this.

  10. Hello, I am 23 and my apartment lease is expiring in Feb 2010 and I was thinking of buying condo instead of renting. There are building some new condos close to my apartments and with the tax credit extension my interest has increased in getting a mortgage for a condo. Here is my info My income is $2700 gross monthly, credit scores are 770+ for all 3 bureaus, 2% utilization, have 5 tradelines(opened between Sept 04-Aug 08), I have never had an installment loan(will this hurt?), and I could do a down payment of 10%(condo price around 95K). My question is what is the best way to get the best interest rate? I also had questions about down payment assistance programs for first time home buyers? any info would be appreciated as I really don't know anything about mortgages/condo buying. thanks
