Are you sure it was Discover and not the Walmart card? That amount is the same CL I got when I opened up a Walmart card a couple of years ago.

I just applied for a NFCU auto loan last Thursday. I requested 40k and was approved instantly. As for the blank check, I think it would work just as you said, but as soon as I get mine I will update my post.

I switched to their cashRewards Signature Visa and just noticed a CLI from 18k to 21.6k, without asking for the CLI (and an odd CLI at that).

Just called to cancel and was offered the $11.12 deal for 6 months. It was quick; not even 2 minutes on the phone

Last week I switched from a Visa and MC nRewards to cashRewards (both Visa now). Same limit of 18k each, but interest rate is reduced. Got my cards today!

Called the automated line and got an increase from 1k to 3k. I asked for 5k at first. Good stuff

I have maxed out my NFCU Love, but wow, what a trip! Did anyone get instant CLI for NAVChek? Or, did everyone have to wait? It took about a day for me to get approved for NAVChek CLI. Just got the forms to send back to them, as well.

Yes, definitely wait. I think I waited about 2 months before asking for an increase. During that time, though, I had to stay away from this forum

Yay! I'm so happy my recklessness has helped others I completely thought it was a mistake too, just because the increase was soo big, but as of today, it still stands. No inquiry so far either, although I had one already from my 12/8 NavChek application. Glad that NFCU is showing mid-600s like us some major love! Well, because of your "recklessness", I hit the luv button for both Visa and MC. Visa went from $10k to $15k, and MC went from $1k to $15k!! Both were counteroffers of the $30k I asked for. I also asked for a Navchek increase to $15k, but it's pending right now.

I was turned down for a MC a few months ago, as well. I can't remember exactly what the rejection notice said, though. I used their messaging service asking for a recon and was approved, but only for a 1k CL. Try the recon; there are no additional pulls (at least not for me).
