  1. Thank you sobreezy
  2. I was recently approved for a NAVCHEK LOC of $5000 and a credit card for $17,500. Did I set myself short by asking for only $5000 NAVCHEK LOC? I haven't received the forms I need to fill out and return to activate the account. Has anyone asked for a CLI upon activating the NAVCHEK LOC?
  3. Dear OP do you have a new Code?
  4. Got C* twice this month in Nevada. Down to 10 from 39. I give up! I'm cancelling 2 of the monitoring services.
  5. Is this discount still good?
  6. Same thing in Nevada, it occured on the 11th but showed up today. I was at 83 and they chop me down to 15. When is the best month to try again?
  7. In order to have my interest rate reduced under the SCRA, do I have to send 1 certify letter RRR per account or just 1 per creditor? For example; I have 3 chase credit cards, do I need to send 3 letters? I appreciate any help
  8. Thank you all so much for your help. Equifax finally deleted this collection after I contacted the CA. BTW my ex-friend was the one that stole my identity in order to get an apartment. I'm sure someone from the apt complex help her. I hope they both get in trouble. According to the police, they are still investigating.
  9. An update: I sent the identity theft dispute letters with copies of the police report via CMRRR to the collection agency and all 3 credit bureaus. The collection agency responded with a letter stating they would delete the account and forward that information to all 3 credit bureaus. Experian and TransUnion both deleted it but Equifax updated it to show paid and close. Once again, I disputed it online with Equifax as identity theft account and they just finished their investigation. On 11-4-11 Results, letter states: Equifax verified that this item belongs to you. Additional information has been provided from the original source regarding this item. If you have additional questions regarding this item please contact: it has collection agency name, address and phone number. On 10-29-11 I sent Equifax a letter which they received on 10-31-11 RE: the investigation above along with a copy of my ID,utility bill, copy of the police report and a copy of the collection agency letter where it says they would request the removal of this account. Instead of using this information for the current investigation Equifax started a new investigation. What should I do now? Should I contact the collection agency via phone or in writing? PLEASE Help
  10. Thank you. I will send the letter to the collection agency. Should I send the same letter to the credit bureaus?
  11. What should I say in the letter to the collection agency?
  12. Once again Thank yoy everyone for all your help. I filed a police report and added an identiy theft alert on my credit reports. I'm not sure how to deal with the collection agency. They are local so should I go in person or send a certify letter with a copy of the police report?
  13. Thank you very much everyone for all this very helpful advise. Tomorrow morning, I will file a police report, report identity theft to the credit bureaus and send a letter to the CA. How should I dispute this collection with the bureaus? If I was to sue the leasing/management office,,,what would i sue them over? Fraud??? Again, Thank you everyone for your help. I'm really stressing over this situation.
  14. A collection for almost $5,000 showed up on my credit report today. I pulled my credit report to find out more about this collection. Its from an apartment broken lease in Aug 2009. I went to the leasing office of the apt listed in the collection. I explained to the manager my situation. That I had never lived there or cosign for anyone. They searched their system and found my name under an old friends lease. She listed me as her spouse. I was so furious and ask them how it was possible to add me to a lease without my authorization? The manager said my friend might have forged my name in order to get the apt. The manager told me there was nothing she could do for me and directed me to the collection agency. I'm not sure how to proceed. Do I need to file a police report? Please help me
