  1. Thank you Marv! I really appreciate the information! I will be good with those numbers. I thought it was a lot lower than that for some reason.
  2. Hello Marv, What is the maximum DTI percentage allowed currently for auto loans? My regular fico scores are around 830-840. I currently have two auto loans in my name and looking to add a third. I will be selling two of the three vehicles, but not before I acquire the third vehicle. Thanks for your time!
  3. Do the manufacturers not reimburse the dealers for the difference along the lines of reimbursement for supplier pricing? I know obviously the profit margin isn't as great, but I am curious how the national special lease rates work for the dealers. Thanks for your time Marv!
  4. Hey Marv, what do you mean from a dealer's perspective we hope you don't take up the manufacturer's offer? Obviously profit related, but didn't know how that worked for dealers? Thanks for the information!!
  5. I am curious about this statement in the offer details. "This one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time cardmembers with new accounts. Previous and existing cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer." I called and they said since I already had a Freedom card that I could get this card, but there is no guarantee I would get the points after spending the $3k. I am leary to apply since I have had issues getting the correct amount of points with my freedom card. She said that people just apply for the bonus and then cancel the card later, so that is why there is that statement in the disclosure. If I could get the bonus I would be interested, but I really don't need another card.

  7. It depends on who you lease it from. My car is through honda financial and it shows paid and closed. My wife's car through Nissan/Infiniti is still showing open. I can't remember what Ford showed, but I am thinking it was open until I turned it in. I can't remember for sure though. The finance company might be able to tell you if you call them.
  8. I kind of figured a lawyer would be a waste. I'm sure their lawyers are much better then anyone I could afford. What about reporting the issue to the Federal Reserve? Specifically the parts where they wanted to roll in additional bogus rate extension fees to allow me to close on Friday and the fact that they are forcing me to roll my surplus escrow into the principal rather then refunding me. Would the Federal Reserve help in any way or is that useless as well. I assume they act like a better business bureau but I'm not real familiar with the banking industry. The Federal Reserve does not regulate Bank of America. The OCC does, so if you would like to file a complaint that is who you should contact. I hope you get everything worked out!
  9. I closed half of my credit cards in a period of six months and it did not affect my credit score. I pay in full on all of my credit cards, so there was no concern regarding my utilization. The cards were not my oldest cards either. I still kept my two oldest cards even though I only use them a couple of times per year.
  10. Yeah, I used the "track it" feature and it had stuff classified correctly there, but I did not get the bonus points for my gas purchases from last quarter. It sounds like there is a lot of people having the same problem. Personally, I am not going to bother signing up for any future promotions. From reading the responses here, I think now is a good time to find another card that pays at least 1% cashback. Any suggestions? Thanks for everyone's input!!
  11. Long story short, I signed up last quarter for the five percent bonus on gas, hotels, and flights. I bought a lot of gas during that time. The bonus points never posted to my account, so I inquired with Chase. I was informed that you are only awarded points based on how the merchant codes itself with visa and mastercard. Therefore the largest chain gas station in a large metro is coded as "vehicle expenses", which does not gain me bonus points for all the gas I purchased. This quarter the program was for department stores, grocery stores, and something else. Now the five different BIG grocery stores I go to are coded as "other" according to Chase. The department stores are coded as "other" as well. I noticed they even code Home Depot and Lowes as "other". I noticed in the "Track It" feature it puts gas, groceries, etc. all in the correct category. I pointed that out to Chase and they won't respond to that. Since they won't fix it, I figured I would warn others about Chase's 5% bonus program.
  12. I would avoid Wynn from what I have seen in the past. You have to be really careful selecting one of those companies.
  13. That is pretty good!! The best local credit union here is 4.375% for 30.
  14. Yeah, I am sure the $400 is just their fee. I know there will be other stuff like title insurance, appraisal, and other misc stuff. No PMI either as I put down a little over 20% when I purchased the house a couple of years ago. The LTV is higher, because the house has lost some value over the last two years. I would only save about $90 a month if I got 3.875, so the closing costs would have to be reasonable to justify it.
  15. Brian, I appreciate the response! Sorry for the simple terminology, as I understand there is variables. It would not be a cash out refinance either. The reason I am asking is I started the refinance process of my house at the end of July and was locked into 4.625%. It did not close until mid September and the rates continued to fall the whole time. Now there are places advertising around here for 3.875 for a 30 year fixed with no points. The fees are advertised around $400. I am sure there is some kind of catch, because I am seeing most advertising the range you just told me. It might be too soon to refinance anyways, but if I could get into the high 3's I was going to look into it further. Thanks again for your time!!
