Ok thanks for that input. I am going to try hitting them with a verification letter and see if it sticks. I know that at least one account they have no info on so they will have to (hopefully) remove it. The other I may have to work on a little more. Here's to hope and faith

So i called Captial One using the "magic number" i found on this board and told them my situation. The woman i spoke with told me that they couldnt find one of my accounts in the system at all but that the other was still there. She suggested that i submit a letter to them stating that both accounts were closed and there were no records to see if i could have them removed. Does that sound like it could work? It would go a long way if i could get them both off my report. the one they couldnt find has 1-30 day late and 1-60 day late the other (the one they can find) is much worse with 2-30 2-60 and 2-90 I am not very confident that they will remove this one. What is the best letter to send in this situation? Goodwill or Validate?

I was thinking what i might do is send out a GW letter that addresses both accounts and then if that didnt work start a nutcase series. I just wasnt sure i if i should bundle the accounts together or do them one at a time. I think I will try to do them both and see what happens. I have searched for capital one topics but not many of them seemed relevent. I will try again Any other advise? Does my strategy sound good? Self serving *bump* for morning crew anybody?

Greetings all. I just started my credit repair journey today but i had one question about particular items on my CRA. I have two negative accounts with Captial One 1) Opened 11/2002 listed as Paid/pays as agreed but has 2-30 day lates 2-60 day lates 2-90 day lates Closed 8/2006 2) Opened 06/2004 listed paid or pays as agreed but has 1-30 day late and 1-60 day late Closed as of 10/2004 both are have been previously verified with all CRAs and listed as such on my report. How should i deal with these? I have read the Docs seminars but i dont think i saw any particular advice about how to do it. Should i send letters to the OC that address both or try them one at a time using different tactics? Really appreciate any help i can get.
