  1. The only thing I can think of at this point is to mail another obsolete dispute and include a copy of my old report from 2008 showing the account information they deleted. Forgot to mention it's "scheduled to continue on record until Jan 2013"
  2. I have account that went to collections in 10/2001. There has been no activity on this account since 2001 that would have altered the date of first delinquency. This has been my timeline of events: Pulled my EXP report in 2008 and the account details were listed as follows: Charge off as of Aug 2006, Apr 2006, May 2003 to Nov 2003, Jun 2002 to Mar 2003, Jan 2002 to Apr 2002 Collection as of Oct 2001 to Dec 2001 I disputed via USPS in 2008, Experian "verified, remains unchanged" and the "Collection as of Oct 2001 to Dec 2001" disappeared from the account details on subsequent credit reports. I disputed via USPS in 2009, Experian "verified, remains unchanged" and the "Charge off as of May 2003 to Nov 2003, Jun 2002 to Mar 2003, Jan 2002 to Apr 2002" disappeared from the account details on subsequent credit reports. Pulled my credit report last week, account remains with the only details being "Charge off as of Aug 2006, Apr 2006" I'm at my wits end with this. I've contacted the original company holding the account twice since 2008 and received no responses. I have the green cards that prove they received my correspondences.
  3. Not sure if this thread is dead or not, but here's my situation (it's a two-part question): 1) I am submitting an SF86 and have pulled all 3 credit reports; TU and EQ are spotless, EX has 1 negative. I have had collection accounts that I successfully disputed off my reports, and collection accounts that also aged off. Do I need to account for these negative TL's that no longer appear, or only what is in my most recent "clean" report? (i.e. do they pull a full factual or only the big 3 like I have access to?) 2) My lone negative (experian) is a re-aged debt from 2001. I got TU and EQ to successfully delete after disputing obsolete, but EX refuses to acknowledge DOLA and are going off 2006 for some unknown reason (DOLA was sometime in 2001). I have not contacted the original debtor. As I suspected (and bdqppqbd confirmed), clearance adjudicators will make you pay or make payment arrangements on out-of-statute debt, and as soon as you do, you've reset the SOL with no guarantee you'll get a clearance. So how do I tackle this remaining negative TL?
  4. Very wise advice, thank you all !
  5. That's what I was leaning towards. I'm seriously tempted to put them through the shredder, but we'll see if I can maintain self control with them in a shoe box LOL
  6. My cards are all around 19% APR (and anywhere from 15-50% utilization), vehicle is 10% APR
  7. I can either pay off my vehicle and save $750 in interest over the next 2.5yrs (and have an extra $224 a month) or I can pay off my credit cards and have $1300 leftover what would you do?
  8. How do I acknowledge the phantom accounts (acct #'s, amounts, etc)? I'm filling out an SF-86 and it's merely line items, so it will look something like: unknown CO, unknown amount, unknown date
  9. Probably a long shot, but I'm curious if anyone has been in this situation before and can provide some insight. Up until approx. 2009 I had 10-12 negative accounts on my credit file (lates, CO's, and a judgment). In the past 12-14 months all but 1 has either hit the seven year mark and aged off by itself or disappeared when I disputed it (the 1 remaining is a mystery cell phone bill from ~2004). I pulled my credit reports yesterday, and confirmed there is only the lone negative account. I assume that my background investigation will produce a full-factual report similar to if I was house shopping. I have ZERO records of those negative accounts that aged off. All I have to go off is my credit report as of yesterday, which is clean save the one negative TL. Do I acknowledge the phantom TL's or base my disclosure on my current report? Thanks for any advice.
  10. How many "rewards points" = $1? Looked through their entire FAQ and can't find this information...
  11. My $79 AF just posted to my account ($300 limit BTW). I was just approved for the Priceline Rewards Visa @ $3k, not really interested in keeping this sucker anymore. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if they will waive the AF. If they refuse I hope I can just close the account w/o having to pay the AF, not sure about that though since it already posted (wish I would have been paying attention last month!)
  12. $500 initial CL, received $250 CLI ~3 months after getting card. Now 2+ years, no lates - won't budge.
  13. Well, I received another letter today - almost 4 months after I initially DV'd them (with no response). I still have copies of the green card they signed for, how do I proceed now? Thanks
