http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/kk16/cnjfat/ I have no doubt that USAA will reimburse me the $300, they have great customer service.

its not fraud if you are accessing your own info
-
And its NOT EVEN FRIDAY YET! You gave this crook $300 and you let the info, links, screen captures, printouts, proof, etc just disappear cause the website is "closed"??? I was born at night, but NOT last night. you miss understood the original site that the news article linked to is now gone, the new site which I listed and the one I used is not.
-
The article, i'll link it if I can find it, it mentioned a site that hosted this kind of activity which is now defunct. But I googled the site and came up with another. Looks like the site was closed but the community stayed the same its called globalgoldtalk.com. I thought that ussa probably has an internal leak of some sort, I can't quite figure out how he would get into their system otherwise. He could not have gotten it from my computer because I only communicated with him via hushmail and ICQ using my schools computer. I created a new hushmail account just for this. I paid him via e-gold.

I don't believe you... This is just too far fetched. These companies have multi-million dollar IT security teams. They hire the best of the best. I doubt this happened very much. would you like for me to show you several newspaper articles where this did happen? heres two let me know if you need more. http://www.enterprisestorageforum.com/cont...cle.php/3486851 http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2008/06/c...ank-atm-se.html Besides, what do I gain by posting this.

I sent ussa.com an e-mail with the guys info he provided, awaiting their response.

I was reading an article the other day about CC skimming and how ID theft occurs. I ran across a forum where posters advertised, stolen CC numbers, bank account logins, with full password information including your secret password. They also advertised presumably stolen electronics, watches, money laundering services, plane tickets, mail drops, etc. I did not think this was real, so I petitioned an advertiser to hack into my ussa.com account and procure my bank account information, passwords etc. I sent him $300, 10% of my account balance, as his fee, and he sent me my ussa information. It was all correct, all of it. Even my secret phone password. That information is not available on the ussa site. How he got this info I do not know but I do know that ID theft for hire is possible. This is a warning to anyone that has accounts at the following banks: BofA.com chase.com citibank.com wamu.com wachovia.com royalbank.com wellsfargo.com schwab.com usbank.com usaa.com suntrust.com ameritrade.com etrade.com scottrade.com fidelity.com The above banks he claims he has accounts available at-the-ready and you can request specific accounts at other institutions as well. PLEASE CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS I can't believe how easy it was for him to do this.

ask for proof of verification if they verify

cap 1 is 30 days, amex is 90 i think. I usually threaten to close to get my way, and If I dont I close and then reopen a week later.
-
Most CC companies would like for you todo that. I would make a copy though for my own records. You can also send a RECON through PLANETFEEDBACK.COM.
-
may not show who you are as a person but employers may use it as an indicator of potential thieves. If you owe alot of money you may steal from the company.

It doesn't make sense. Why would it be a benefit to a customer to have the ability to have unlimited access to a report already examined? For permanent access the file will either be saved/printed/downloaded. What am I missing? If you were to access your report via the CRA backdoor you would unlimuted access to that same report. Another report would require another AA reason. Some people just like to store it online for backup purposes. It does not make much sense, you are right in that respect. But from a strict understanding of the words in their TOS and their advertising this is what they intend. The option to update is a fring benefict/qurk in there system.
-
I'm not disagreeing with anyone. It just seems that the way they word their service they have given themselves the option to oust anyone who pulls daily.
-
Technically speaking it is unlimited access to the same report, NOT unlimited access to uodate reports.
