Just checked the IRS website and finally got an answer instead of the error. It said mine is scheduled to be deposited on the 16th. I filed and got my refund in Feb. and last two digits are 76. I wonder why people with higher numbers got theirs today?

WhyChat....Please Advise

Thanks for the info Why Chat. Yes these accounts are only on Eq. I have opted out and all old addresses have been removed. -
Hello WhyChat I need some sound advice please. A collection agency placed 11 accounts on my Eq. report from a hospital, with dates of first delinquency from 8/2001 to 3/2005 (SOL in NC is 3 years on written contracts). These could very well be for my daughter, but I am unsure. I have not received any bill from the hospital or any letters from the collection agency. I spoke with the hospital billing department on the phone and was told that the bills went to my daughter's mother who lives out of state and has primary custody of my daughter. I was told it was put on my credit report because I carry insurance on my daughter. I have disputed all 11 accounts with Eq. and all 11 came back verified. I have not talked to the collection agency at all and don't really know what to say anyway. It seems like there should be something that could be done about this. I had no knowledge of any of this until it appeared on my report. What should I do? Thanks, Dave

Should this be on MY report?

Whychat I used your HIPAA letter with inset a and it worked! This account is gone from my report! Thank you for the information and all you do around here. Dave -
I opted out in January.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll just sit tight and see if it falls off in June. If not, I'll try the obsolete dispute and see what happens. Dave

I have a charge off that is only appearing on EX. There is no "this account is scheduled to continue on record until" line on the report. The account history is listed like this: Account History: Charge Off as of May 2005 Collection as of Mar 2003 to Apr 2005, Oct 2002 to Jan 2003 180 days as of Nov 2001 to Mar 2002 150 days as of Oct 2001 120 days as of Sep 2001 90 days as of Aug 2001 60 days as of Jul 2001 30 days as of Jun 2001 Based on this info; should this become obsolete in June of this year? Anyone have any input? Dave

Hello All, I have a question for the medical collection experts around here. I carry health insurance on my daughter. Her mother ( whom I have never been married to) took her to the E.R. which carries a $50 copay. Her mother didn't pay the copay and now it's in collections and showing on all three of my credit reports. Does the hospital have the right to send this to collections in my name since I'm not the one who took my daughter to the E.R. ( I didn't know she even went) and I never signed anything agreeing to pay?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I don't have any other disputes left. I have a chargeoff on EX that will drop off later this year. A medical collection on EX and EQ that I just mailed with payment and Whychat's HIPAA letter, and a cable company collection on all 3 that I'm going to try to get the CC to pull back from the CA and payoff. Then I'm squeaky clean except for some 30 day lates on TU. I think my EQ score is higher because I have a car loan with my credit union that was opened in 1993, paid off in 1998 and last reported in 2002. I also have a personal loan with the credit union that was paid off in 1994 that is still being updated as of January 2008 as 0 balance, pays as agreed

Hi All, I first want to say this is a great forum, full of some really great information and people. When I started my credit repair journey in mid December, my FICOs were: TU-563 EX-573 EQ-620 After two months of disputes, and getting new credit cards, my FICOs are now at: TU-611 EX-628 EQ-661 I'm in the 600 club after only two months, I can hardly believe it!! I just want to say thanks to everyone for all the great information on this board. And to anyone just starting their own credit repair; hang in there, it can be done with a little patience and information found right here on this board. Dave

Hi All. First time poster, couple months lurker here. I've made some real progress using the information I've learned here. You people are a wealth of information! I have searched the boards, but couldn't find anything specific to my situation, so on to my question. I had trouble with my cable service over a year ago that kept me from using my high definition and internet service from around 7 p.m. at night until around 9 a.m. in the morning. After numerous complaints on my part, the cable company finally repaired the problem two months later. They offered no credits to my account and tried to charge me to repair it. I was stubborn and decided I shouldn't pay the bill for those two months. Needless to say, they terminated my service and around May of last year assigned the account to a collection agency, which is reporting with all 3 CRAs. I say assigned because I logged into my account online and the balance is still showing after more than a year without any service with them. My questions are; should I pay the cable company? Or will the CA just update the account to paid collection? Is there anything in the law that would prevent the CA reporting after I pay the cable company? Sorry for the long post. Any and all suggestions on how to deal with this will be greatly appreciated.
