  1. Get off your soap box and read his other threads, then come back to reality. Kthxbai I was under the impression that the boards were to help folks instead if chastising them. This is reality!!! You're correct, but clearly you still haven't read his other threads. His chastising is well earned/deserved. News Flash, yes I've read many threads. I just don't comment them because I've got nothing good to say. His threads are like many others I've read in my times. This is why these threads immediately go south cause the negative comments that come about. I won't comment this thread again. Lets move on..

  3. I'm really appauld by this thread, as a member of this board for over 6 years, Ive never read so many negative comments. It's ashame what this board has come to. There is really no need to comment FMC if you have nothing god to say. Bet most of the comments wouldn't have been made had LKH not said his comment. Feel free to ban me as well

  5. Congrats on both of your success stories there But looking at your signature everything is looking just fine for you. If you don't mind me asking, what were your files like initially when applying to get all those cc's from the cu's? TY, much of my account with the CU's came at about the same time most of us took the plunge on these boards. I recall both Alliant CU and JFCU were both preapproved when I did membership with them. Appreciate it, that's good to know. Did you have a hard time with NFCU? Absolutely not, they have my direct deposit. I'm getting loads of offers from them and Barclays loads me with upgrade offers as well.
  6. They try you for the American Express branded first and if you don't qualify, you just get the store card. There is no way to only have the American Express branded card and not the store card. Any new account from Macy's, even though they say "sub account", will report as a new account and have separate statements.Exactly, plus 24.50 apr on both types is so undesirable to say the least So I'm going to have a store card and an Amex, huh? Weird indeed. Whatev. No, it's only a Amex card that serves both purposes. It's odd though, store card reflects a different account number upon makin a purchase. Oh, so one piece of plastic (with an Amex logo), but one "subaccount" for Macy's purchases and another for everywhere else? That is odd. It's so confusing, I was under the influence I was only approved for the store card. But I noticed on my reciept that it looked like there was 15 characters 4 of them being masked, that made me kind of suspicious about it being an Amex account. Not sure how to go about using the Amex portion at Macy's though. Only way I found out my credit limit was by calling CS, it's not listed anywhere.

  10. Congrats! So you got off the Macy's blacklist. I never understood the dual cards though...and why they do that to some folks. TY TY sir. Congrats on your journey as well, Superb job there.
  11. Let me chime in here. Was at 34th last Saturday with my brother, went to Macy's he applied for credit, instant approval. Store card limit 1,200. Now my turn, applied same results. HUH!!! I personally had Bk Macy's and few other accounts Stern's, A&S and a furniture account totalling 14.7k. That was about 10 years back and my bk was on 05-2006. Tried few times, always came back decline reason stated was prior deliquency on old account, never mentioned my BK or never pulled my credit report. My brother also had defaulted on his old account at about the same time as myself, but he never BK. Same thing, applied few times, same results decline because prior deliquency. He just decided to apply for the heck of it and was shocked on the approval as I was. But I really freaked out that they approved me, I was on their dog pound. Got home called about account type, Rep told me I was approved for both accounts, Amex limit 5k, store card 1.2k. WHAT!!! HUH!!! I'm still alive. Monday, he called same thing approved for Amex 6k, store card 1.2k. WHAT!!!! He's still living, lmao. To say we shocked is a massive under statement. Now, got the cards, YAY... getting two accounts with two seperate bills. BOO, yes they both report seperately as stated on our terms.

  13. B - 867 September 2012 1. You have no real estate accounts that can be used in determining a credit score. 2. You have too many inquiries on your credit report. 3. The available credit on your open revolving credit accounts is too low. 4. Your oldest revolving credit account was opened too recently.
  14. Worked for Dollar Dry Dock and Emigrant Savings Banks in NYC for over 10 years on their consumer credit card divisions and never heard any issues to what you mentioned. Maybe this has changed in the last 5 years or so.
