  1. HighTechSpeed: If I lived in Colorado, I'd be all over this, like me on rice. Bob I'll buy it for you Just front me the money I'll drive it to you "IF" I fit in the thing You fly me home (FIRST CLASS) needless to say GEORGE: If you could find a way for ME to get the $42k tax credit, you got a deal! First Class for the missus also if she wants to help you drive it over. Bob I'm not GEORGE and never played him on TV, but a couple of caveats: To qualify, the vehicle must be titled and registered in Colorado. (§39-22-516, C.R.S.) The credit is only available in the year during which the vehicle was purchased or converted. If the credit allowed exceeds the net tax liability for that year, any excess credit may be carried forward and claimed on future year returns for up to five years until the credit is fully utilized. So, you have to ask yourself: do you pay enough Colorado taxes to collect the entire credit?
  2. GEORGE, Last Dec in Sams I was getting ready to pay with my Sams store card (had it 2 years) and the checker asked me if I wanted a credit card. Handed me the papers, a Sams Discover. Had a good limit so I took it. There was no hard pull. Does WalMart to that?
  3. Ahhhh! I get it now! Punny! (although the thread is in reference to Geico reverting back to Merrick after a 1.5 year hiatus) (and the game in the link is fun for at least 5 minutes )

  5. I assume you mean the Direct Rewards Discover. I got one in June '07 w/2K limit. 10 months later another 1K magically appeared. And there it sits almost a year and a half later. No luv button on the site. I think the key is graduate to a real discover and get rid of it.
  6. Merrick is owned by Cardworks, Inc which also owns CardWorks Servicing. I believe CardWorks Servicing was doing the website and processing. New Millennium around that time had to get another hosting company for cards for various reasons. I assume using the host site Merrick was using was a way they could use the same database without expensive reprogramming and no re-apping like happens sometimes (bean). About all NM has on their site is secure cards so perhaps they want out of the insecure market The above is how I remember it, if wrong it's because of Midheimers.
  7. I opened mine in Feb 2007 at $500. At 6 mo a cli then every 4 mo after that a cli (all auto) until March 2009 when the massive cld to 500 above balance. It was Merrick bank until my early Feb 2008 bill posted to the cra's. Then it was New Millennium. (no double listing, the header just changed on TC & CS) After the letter about the cld last March Geico sent another letter subtly apologizing for the cld. I don't think they liked it any more than I did.
  8. This is true. Even "Logic" doesn't come in just to pay the bill
  9. Now, this is interesting! A few months ago everyone's (? they claimed everyone) http://consumerist.com/5176060/geico-maste...it-limit-to-500 limit was slashed. Merrick can't do worse than NM (I hope)
  10. toopooor : they don't like new accts. === I just checked my cr when I applied for that. I had 14 new accounts reporting in less than 6 months before the ap ( 15th 3 months before that). So that explains it. Nov 06 to Nov 07 I got 20 new accounts, so I suspect they will not like me until early 09? Not that I really need it, but 2%-3% rewards at King Soopers would be nice!
  11. Kroger gave me my most interesting reject last Sept: "Sufficiently obligated with bankcard accounts" perhaps because of all the new cards I had Ah well, I have more cards than I need anyway
