  1. Thanks for clarifying. Let us know what happens.
  2. Were you requesting the deletion of the whole trade line (as it sounds from the above letter) or just the "settled for less" status? Was the account charged off at the time of settlement?
  3. That'a what we did. I just wonder if some explanations are more "acceptable" to the UW.
  4. . Did any one had to write an LOE and what are the best accepted explanations by underwriters for lates/settlements on CCs? .
  5. Thanks for your input everyone. Your suggestions pointed to a simple workaround.. duh! For me, IE9 is faster than Chrome, so I will reinstall IE9, but since I already have Chrome, I will use it to get on the Equifax website.. problem solved!
  6. I like IE9, I really would like to get back to using it. It is VERY fast, much faster than IE8, the web pages load almost instantly. The only problem I have with it, is accessing the Equifax website. And that may be due to some of the security settings in IE9. I am surprised that more people on here haven't encountered the same problem with IE9, Win7 and EQ website. For those running Win7 and IE9 and who have no problem accessing the EQ website, what are your security settings in IE9?
  7. I'm using Win 7. Since I downloaded IE 9, I am unable to get on Equifax website. As soon as the Equifax page loads, it shuts down the IE9 browser. Uninstalled IE9, and the IE8 works fine with EQ. Reinstalled IE9, same problem as before, EQ shows an error and shuts down the IE9 browser. Does anyone know what's causing this and any solutions?
  8. Update... So it has been several months since AU has been added and no trade line appearing in any of her credit files. There seems to be no consistency in how AUs are added to trade lines and no way to know if the credit card, on which you are an AU, will show up in your credit reports.
  9. Thanks for your input. I know I can lock and unlock my credit files for free (not sure how many times) but I also like to have a monitoring service for all 3 credit bureaus. It seems the ID Patrol and their new Equifax Complete will do the job, so I guess I'll be choosing one of these two, after doing a little more research.
  10. For those who have experience with both, which one do you think is better? What are the pros and cons of each? Is there another product out there better than either of the above? Thanks
  11. in my experience, 1 or 2 billing cycles. It'll be interesting to see if it eventually shows up or not. Thanks for your input.
  12. Well, she's been added, let see what happens. How long does it usually take for this to show up on AU's credit report?
  13. Ok, so I confirmed that I never gave my SSN when I was added as an AU, yet the CC and it's history appeared in my credit file. I had different address from the card holder. Any idea how this happens and if the CC history somehow ends up in every AU's credit file?
  14. No she doesn't have same address. I remember being added myself as an AU in the past and the CC appearing on my credit file. Different address as well, but I don't remember if I gave my SSN when I was added, it has been a few years.
  15. Hi, When I try to add a relative as an AU (authorized user) to my Chase credit card, it does not ask for her SS number, just the name. She wants this card and it's history to show on her credit report. I thought the credit card history automatically showed on the AU's credit report once they're added, but without SS number, how is that possible?
