I will say this about BofA pre-approvals on their site- they are ridiculous. I have had my BofA Alaska Airlines for over 2yrs with perfect history, and they will only pre-approve me for the secured card as well. Don't be discouraged into applying for a card you don't really want. If you just opted back in, and this is the first of the bunch, why not wait and see what else comes out? good luck

In all fairness... it could be that your credit score has not changed... at all.... for the last two months.

That sucks!!! Have you called to try and have them reconsider the application- state your case. From my experience they pre-approve EVERYONE for the weekender card, but as far as actual approvals... im not sure. Sorry not much help, but maybe a more vetted member can shine more light?

I'm not sure why I did, but I opted out way back when... Just opted back in because of this post. I'm not applying anytime soon, but it'll be good to start seeing what offers I may be eligible for- and how they may improve over the next year.

Well I applied first for the Reward Zone Mastercard and I had mid to high 600s and I got approved. However, last month I just applied for the Best Buy Store Card and got approved for less. I think that the RZMC is easier to get approved for, but you run the risk fo the Plan B fiasco with AF.

I enjoy my wamu cards- never had a problem with them...knocks on wood. They aren't flexible at all, but the fico, and the occassional coupon, or BT offer is nice. plus no AF

DENIED. called to get recon and DENIED by Cheryl. I shoul've known better, but it was so tempting. Too many revolving tradelines they said. This is honestly my third try with them over the past year, so I will just leave them be- and get back to b*ing their inq off my report! whatcha gonna do right?

New card partners will soon be offered. 20th Century Fox Wamu card allows you to earn rewards for movie tickets and DVDs. You can choose your card art from shows like Family Guy, X-files, etc... Vistaprint is for small business owners, and gives cashback. Card art can be business logo or personal image. I've never heard of Vistaprint, but the 20th Century Fox card sounds pretty cool. I guess not so soon. Like Fall maybe is what I hear.

I got 2500. Not the highest, but most of my cards are around 1000, and so this looks like a great step up for my tls. Not to mention util.

I applied this morning for the National City Visa, and I got denied- the reasons they told me: too many inqs and not enough credit history. I was a bit put off, but I thought I'd call just in case. So i told them that I had my TU report in front of me, and i only had 2 inqs before them, and over 1.5 years of perfect history. The lady agreed and I got approved! Thanks CB, because if I didnt hear about checking your report semi-regularly, then I wouldn't have been able to state my case.
