I, too, was wondering if the business card shows on your reports. If not, I agree, transfer some of the others back to it. I have two business cards, neither of which show on my credit reports.

Still dishing out the cards, huh? Interesting. And, thanks, Toopoor. I'll get it paid in the next few months and shut her down.

I also have a CC store card with a 0% deal on it through the end of 2010. Will they close my card and leave me with a balance before then? Would it be better to BT the $800 to another 0% through 9/2009 card or get it paid off and closed ASAP?

No, I won't commit mail fraud, but I may call Sears if I get another statement for this guy. And, I don't know how much I could screw with them...he's Michael and I'm Michelle.

This goes through phases, much like any collection attempt, I suppose, but I'm getting pretty fed up with it. Various folks call asking for a "Michael MyLastName" and I tell them I don't know him -- never have -- and please take my number off of his account. It stops for a couple months, then starts up again. I have a feeling they looked in the phone book and since I have the same first initial and last name, I get the calls. I'm pretty sure it's about student loans from one of the messages left on my machine a few months ago. I called the place back since I knew neither adult in this house has student loans and the woman was nice and apologized. But there's a guy that calls, I can hear a TV in the background, and he says, "Hey, Michael!" like he knows the guy. I've told him previously he has the wrong number, but he just called a few minutes ago and got me fired up again by giving me heck about this Michael guy I don't even know. Interestingly, I was getting Sears credit card statements for a "Michael MyLastName" recently. They had his name and my address. I just marked them "Not at this address" and sent them back. I've checked my reports and everything appears to be in order, so I'm not sure where the mix up is coming from. The next time I get a Sears statement I feel like opening it and calling them directly. Is there a way to stop this nonsense?

I have a four phone plan with Sprint. We share 500 minutes (we've never gone over because we mostly talk to each other) and it's something like $80 per month. I had them turn off texting to all four phones -- I don't text, but my friends would send me texts and I would be charged a few cents. When my phone is up for renewal I'm getting the FREE phone that comes with the plan. It's silly for me to pay for phone features I'll never use. I use the camera once in a while, but I won't pay to upload them to the internet, so they stay on the phone until I get tired of them.

Points taken, thanks. I appreciate all the responses. Is there a standard, easy financial statement form I could use to give to him?

Well, here's the thing, we don't know what kind of business this will be...LLC, inc, etc. We were given the opportunity to "take over" an established business. The current owners have incorporated it, so we were assuming we would do it that way. Of course we will meet with an attorney first. As far as the landlord goes, he's asking us for this information to cover $1000/month rent for a period of 18 months. When I bought my car they didn't even need tax returns! Sure, I think he should be able to check our credit, but tax returns? I don't know if I'm comfortable with that given mine have no bearing on my ability to pay the rent. Regardless, I guess my main concern was him being allowed to require these documents and I'm understand from you folks that he can. I'm thinking I could just print out an IRA balance and that should tide him over.

A business landlord is asking for financial statements and tax returns from myself and my Mother (opening a business together) to consider us as tenants. I don't understand why personal finances should be any of his business when we are agreeing to his lease. He can sue if we don't pay, correct?

Thanks a bunch!

Thank you! I knew it had to be hidden in there somewhere!

I can't find a place to buy an actual Experian report on their website. Does anyone have it?
-
So, the bank can change an entry they've already made without pulling another report?
-
Oh, the bank is getting a call first thing tomorrow morning, but I didn't know if they could "take back" applications and AKA names. They better be able to or I won't be doing business with them.

I noticed an AKA name on my CCT report last week and wondered where it came from...now I know. I applied for a mortgage loan last week through a bank recommended to me by my Mother. The bank submitted my first name and middle initial and my Mother's last name. How do I get this removed since I'm NOT AKA the name they submitted? Does the bank handle this since it's their mistake?
