Will they report the limit before you attempt to use it?

They got me too. DH and I both got letters yesterday from HSN declining our application. I was wondering what was going on since we IIB my HSN account last April, and haven't attempted to apply for any type of HSN ever since. Do we know for sure the culprit? We also both had Crown Jewelry accounts. What's kind of strange too is that about 15 months ago, someone ALSO opened up a USAA checking & savings acct in my name also. I called USAA to explain that I didn't open it and it's a fraudulent account (spoken to them 3 times actually). I did file a police report but I never really thought very much about it after that since my credit has been so bad, I'm thinking, these people must be desperate, lol. Will you believe, to this day, USAA STILL sends me monthly statements. (3 cents in the accounts)

Hi. How soon after applying and getting the "app needs reviewed" message before you can get a status? Can you check online or do you have to call? If you can check online, where at on the site would you find it? Thanks.

I had 2 accounts with my BK 7 that discharged 7/2010. I just applied and was approved for a $500 account in March. DH had 1 account with them but when applied for him back in December, he was declined. Very strange....

LOL..doesn't bother me, sometimes it can be hard to find what you're looking for on here. I use Credit Check Total, just go to their website. I also use Equifax Complete, same thing, go to their website. My Privacy Matters is different. I really can't tell you how to sign up for that, I had to search and find a link to the site and it worked. Just going to their website or searching it on google does not help. I am not a member of any bank or anything with any of these. Hope that helps you out. It really works, by having those 3 plus the backdoor to EQ, you will have 4 a day and it goes quick. Can just anyone sign up for these credit monitoring services or do you have to be a member of something or have a bank acct with someone? The ones that just "anyone" can get, can you spell out the full name (sorry, I don't know the abbreviations) and tell me where to go to sign up? Thanks. (sorry to thread-jack)

Cool. Maybe I'll just say my brother. Heck, we grew up thinking that way anyway. Is there anything else other than his member # and address info for me to get in? I'm just thinking that he is "old school" and will probably think that giving me too much info, he'll probably think he's co-signing for me something or another.

OK. So I finally have an "in". My step-brother is a member (joined thru his ex-wife who is in the Navy). Anyway, he's sort of a recluse and paranoid, so I'm praying he isn't going to have to provide a blood sample to get me in, lol. I'm sure I can manage to get his member # from him, but do they require much more info? Thanks. Also, how long is the process to join?

Thanks for the info guys. I was really wondering about being blacklisted. I wasn't really concerned about some of the other creditors but BOA is such a big creditor, I really was hoping that maybe 3 or 4 yrs away, they may still extend some credit to us. I also didn't realize that every creditor had to be listed or about closing the open accts that I have. I'm gonna have to look up IIB (not sure what this means) This really really sux having to go this route and I'm really pissed (and ashamed) that after working so hard to clear up our credit, this is what happened. I'm just hoping that eventually, we will be able to build some kind of credit in the future.
