  1. From a newly empowered noob: This morning I got a call about an out of SOL debt held by Midland. I had previously DV'd on initial contact. When I explained I was not going to pay and asked her why did they not respond to my request for validation she said, “Because we don’t have the media for accounts like yours, do you know how much it would cost to have all of the media for everyones account?†She then acted like I was crazy for expecting Midland to respect my rights and not just give her my checking account number. The conversation ended with her yelling at me about an attorney and hanging up. I think reading CB has made me look forward to collection calls, now they are just entertaining breaks in my day.
