Child Custdy/Employer Question
Operation_Home_Ownership replied to beli's topic in General Discussion
BF is under court order not his Company...he is an 'at will' employee. BF must make his own decisions when accepting hauls and/or alt arrangements to visit his kid. -
Random Reading... I saw this on AM News as well, I say pepper spray the hell out of this kid or any kid that breaks fool like this one did in public. Why should anyone not his parent risk even so much as a hang nail grappling with this punk? It's safe, no muss--no fuss and after 3 run-ins with cops, someone should look to charge the Mom for the property damage, etc perhaps when his behavior effects her pockets she'll get that lil badazz the proper treatment/discipline required.

I would suggest reading CCC advice in the "Debt Consolidation, Counseling and Management" section of this board. Plenty of guidance on this topic found there. Good luck!

I think you are off to a good start!! I agree with others ramp up your retirement contributions and emergency fund next since you are in planning mode to reach certain goals in the immediate future. Since already consumer debt free I would also snowball the car loan and student loans from highest to lowest interest rates until completely eliminated early...doesnt hurt & rewarding behavior. House hunting is A LOT less stressful when you actually have the downpayment plus reserves for the "what ifs" & "decor-gasms" that follow when making your house a home. OHO Word Translation: decor-gasms: ignoring price or his style, a simply MUST HAVE decor item that when YOU see it and YOU react...your man just CANT say NO! All the best! -
If she does NOTHING else, roll that old 401K into a ROTH IRA! Wonderful tax shelter [who knows where tax rates will be in our twilight years], better earnings than ANY money market/CD account if untouched, and if needed the contributions she makes going forward can be taken out penalty free [not growth] in case single mom needs emergency funds down the line.

We have the extra layer: Baby Gates at each end of a stairway littered with pointy toys. I can barely open the gates and get up them, and that's in daylight and knowing how the gates work. Anyone trying to get up those stairs is in a serious kill zone. Hilarious! Always enjoyable to read you...Happy Holiday!

Exactly, took the words right off my keys!

I have a funny looking girl with lots of hair. Wonderful, I hope you are raising her to be a lil firecracker just like you! Sorry for being super late on acknowledgement of the procreating that is going on...miss a summer miss a lot I guess. Ok, if OC has gone over the softer side of child rearing & raising...I will need a new 'backhand first-ask questions later' buddy.

I vote, definitely send them a $293 check and cite the Lease. I would keep the balance in an account for the discussion you know will evitably come your way from them.

Well I feel a rich guy can be a dush as well, he just has more smokescreen abilities, lol. Its not about $$$ at all, its about character [as I am sure you know] and mentality. In fact, they happy meal pimp even more than the coffee b4 McD type guys do...as they know chicks see their green. This is why I emphasize being the best you and hold true, it repells the ones that dont fit like cryptenite. Oh and the passport is valid and needs more pages stamped! This convo with you has been enjoyable. Are you married? -

It's either me or the dog... I'm a huge cat person...dogs? not so much.. OK, so an immediate shut down...I can dig it. I would just have to imagine I would be the same, as these lil buggers become our family, but it has not been tested. As I think about it, I have had push back on her being in the bed vs sleeping in her own bed...but we [coco & i] eventually win that debate too. -
Boooooooooo! @ cats
