  1. Any November codes?
  2. I just discovered I received a $500 CLI on my Journey card. I didn't ask for it, but YAY!
  3. Dell - $4000 - instant approval
  4. My Ch7 was discharged in July 2010. I got a $300 limit card with CapOne and was given a $200 CLI soon after, without requesting it. I applied for an increase online in July 2013 but was denied because of a late payment back in May. I sent them a message through Facebook on September 1 and got an immediate response. Then I played phone tag with Samantha in the executive office for almost a week. We finally connected, and I asked for an increase to $2000 (knowing that would never happen). She called me back a few days later and asked me to fax a copy of my current pay stub. I sent that on September 13, but I haven't heard anything back yet. I just logged into my account, and they gave me a $250 increase. I didn't expect an increase to $10,000 like my daughter got, but it would've been nice to get to $1000.
  5. Maybe two years....maybe.....
  6. She knows to be cautious, but she did ask if I knew anyone who had ever bought a vehicle with a credit card.
  7. LOL! WTF was our original reaction too.
  8. Of course. I certainly did.
  9. My daughter went online today to pay her bill for her $500 limit card, and her available balance showed $9000+! She hadn't asked for a CLI, but her limit is now $10,000. She figured it must be a mistake, so she called and talked to three different people. The story they gave her is pretty much that the stars and planets must have aligned just at the right time. She doesn't know what her current scores are, but she thinks probably mid- to high-600s. Like me, she's had some credit problems in the past, including bankruptcy, but she's done a pretty good job of straightening things out. I am very happy for her but soooo jealous at the same time. I got a $300 limit card a few years ago with a $200 increase a few months later, but none since. Has anybody else had such a crazy increase for seemingly no reason? Please share!
  10. Congrats on your approval, and thank you! I had totally forgotten about Care Credit. I just applied and was instantly approved for $2700! I've got to take my 13yo husky mix KiKi aka wolfdawgfrumhell to the vet tomorrow for her annual checkup, and I don't have any extra cash to pay for it. She's got really bad arthritis in her hips, and I've been giving her Cosequin and Rimadyl. Then I ran out of Rimadyl about a month ago, and the vet wouldn't give me anymore till he saw her. I found some alternate stuff online, but nothing is as good as Rimadyl. Now I can pay for her checkup, which I think will be about $150, and I can stock up on Rimadyl!
  11. Hi guys, I haven't posted in a longgg time, but I'm still following the forums. I just wanted to brag about my son's credit journey so far. He just turned 24 in April. He's got a great job at a car dealership, makes about $25,000/year, owns his badazz 83 Chevy pickup, and basically has no bills to speak of. He's quite stingy, actually, and doesn't just throw his money away. He joined a local credit union a few years ago, and they started him with a small line of credit of $500 or so. He always pays more than the required payments so he could pay off his loans early. His LOC is now $2500. I suggested to him a few years ago to apply for a gas credit card or something small to get his credit history going, but he didn't want to. He just recently talked to his credit union about their VISA card and filled out the application. I told him not to feel bad if they gave him a small limit at first or even declined him all together because of no history. He came home the other day and showed me his approved paperwork with a limit of $2000 and a credit score of 703. I reminded him that it's very easy to add an authorized user to his card.
  12. I haven't posted in awhile, but I've been lurking. I'm gonna order my scores from myfico.com this weekend. Yay, all three again! My Chapter 13 was discharged in 2010. I've gotten a $500 CapOne card, and I bought a 2006 Chevy Malibu through CapOne Blank Check almost a year ago. A few days ago I went on a mini spree. I know this is for 'approvals', but I wanted to share good and bad results so far. Best Buy - declined (not surprised, IIB) I need a new computer. Discover - still waiting to hear, probably declined Kohls - approved for $400 (listed in IIB but no balance at the time) I luv Kohls! Lowes - thought I was declined (listed in IIB with >$500 balance), but I got home today and found a $300 limit card in the mail It's not much, but I feel a little better about my credit situation.
  13. Thank you !!!
  14. I was approved for up to $12,000 with the CapOne Blank Check and have been tirelessly searching for almost three months for that "cream puff non-existent car", as one dealer described it, due to CapOne's restrictions: 2005-2012, less than 70k miles, and maximum loan = 110% of clean trade value. I work full-time, but nearly every minute of my life has been consumed with searches online and phone calls and disappointing visits to dealers. I had no idea finding the right car would take me this long, and I was honestly about to just give up and go buy anything as long as it moved. I finally found the cream puff yesterday at the dealer where my son works! I met with the salesman, drove the car for about 30 minutes, put down $700 (I had $1000 stashed away), and signed all the paperwork. They faxed all the required documents to CapOne before noon today, and CapOne called him about 4:30pm with approval to deposit the check. The salesman called to tell me I could pick up my freshly-detailed 2006 Chevy Malibu anytime tomorrow. With a full tank of gas! I am sooooo glad this awful process is OVER!!!
