  1. Thanks--how would I got about making sure that the CA dismisses the case with prejudice?
  2. In late 2007 a case was filed against me in my county court by a collection agency. I made an agreement to settle the debt and am nearing the end of my agreed-upon payments. The county court's web site has a case with the following activity (from oldest to newest): "CONTRACT COMPLAINT FILED" "SUMMONS RETURNED - N.S. REASON: NO CONTACT" "MOTION FOR APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL PROCESS SERVER FILED" "APPOINT SPECIAL DEPUTY - ALLOWED" "ALIAS SUMMONS ISSUED AND RETURNABLE" "ALIAS SUMMONS SERVED - SUBSTITUTE SERV" "CASE SET ON TRIAL CALL" "ORDER ON MOTION FOR INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS BY AGREEMENT - ALLOWED" "COURT RETAINS JURISDICTION OVER THIS MATTER" "DISMISS BY STIPULATION OR AGREEMENT" 1) Will this case show up on my reports as a judgment? 2) Will this account show up on my reports? So far the collection agency hasn't reported anything--is there any reason they might as soon as the account is paid off per the agreement? 3) Does this affect mortgage underwriting? Thanks.
  3. Applied on Saturday, and I called a few times this week but none of the CSRs were able to give me any information on my application. My CreditCheckTotal report showed it reporting to Equifax for $3,500. My TU score was 791.
  4. Applied for Nationwide Saturday. I called a few times but was told the application would take up to 2 weeks to process, but on CreditCheckTotal today it's reporting as a $3,500 limit on Equifax.
  5. No, no mortgage. Thanks for all the suggestions.
  6. Hi--after my last two negative tradelines fell off, my TransUnion report is completely clean. Equifax and Experian still have lots of negative entries, so I'm trying to decide what card to apply for that pulls TransUnion only. I pulled my score from myFICO.com and it was 791. No inquiries, oldest account is ~13 years, AAOA is 5 years. My main goal would be a high limit that reports to all 3 bureaus. I have a NationalCity secured card--should I max it out to $2,500 and apply for a NationalCity unsecured? BTW, thanks for all the help from this board. My TU score when I started a few years back was under 600, and I'd probably still be dealing with collection agencies and keeping my head in the sand if I hadn't discovered CreditBoards.
  7. You may find this page helpful. Apparently their e-mail format is firstname.middleinitial.lastname@wellsfargo.com, and there are plenty of names listed if you poke around their website.
  8. The biggest factor seems to be whether you want to stay in your house or not. Do you?
  9. Hi, I'm interested and would like a PM. Thanks.
  10. One last bump. SL forum doesn't seem to get much love.
  11. I guess I'm fine with it showing that the loan was for somewhere between $1,000.00 and $1,999.99, but not the specific amount. And no, there's no particular reason why. Any ideas on this?
