i believe its just depending on the individual lender on what they consider a red flag. i have an active citifinancial loan on my reports and was approved for $12000 without a problem through sdfcu. if your lender is to good to lend to you because of it i would take my business elsewhere.

They put a collection on my report that belongs to my father
hunterd replied to Dman2's topic in Credit Forum
i thought i would reply to this one since it happened to me years ago. after talking twice to a low level rep and then to a "supervisor" and getting nothing done i wrote a letter to my states attorney general and bbb. after the ag started an inquiry with them i received a call from the "president" of the company apologizing for the "confusion". that was my first credit problem and i didn't know of another way to handle it. but it worked. just thought id share. -
sent me the form to fill out my annual income. they wont do anything until they have it on file. no denial of cli but no approval either. result of card act?

Happy 6th year anniversary on Creditboards George
hunterd replied to Quarterchips's topic in Credit Forum
congrats, george! would not be the same without you. nothin but respect for folks who wont be intimidated. -
the signature pads are for in case of a potential charge back. it is quicker to retrieve electronic sig. than to research physical tickets, although that still can happen too. you can sign whatever you like, just like on paper.

HSBC Ato Finance sold to Santander Consumer Inc
hunterd replied to soccerlove's topic in Credit Forum
i had a loan with triad that was then sold to santander. i only had them for a couple of months before i paid them off, but i know they're much harder on lates and such. they seem to me to be kinda like a "subprime" lender. ymmv -
Nice name. You really should go for the Hooters card. Haha, I work there pics of ban! i have cap one also. i have a $3500 limit and they owe me $4.17 (i over paid) im gonna try and get an increase ill report back later pics of ban? what the hell does that mean? i was wondering the same thing.

that really sounds like a typical scare tactic. i personally wouldnt pay a dime and let them take me to court if they had the guts to do it. if this debt truly isn't yours i'd fight it all the way.

bronson never did show up on my reports, just called to harass me. ymmv of course. well they showed up as a soft pull.
-
yep, they are loads of fun. they will try to intimidate you like crazy with the whole "lawyer" thing.

my understanding of the mc/visa merchants agreement is that the merchant cant ask for id anyway. something about keeping id theft from merchants employees down.

i've been using google voice(grand central) and magicjack for my home phone for about 2 years. haven't had any company penalize me for that so far. i have paypal buyer credit(gemb) and that went okay. id say it was the short positive history.

from personal experience, i only had the vultures come after me(summons) right before the sol ran out. i did have a new tradeline before then, might have gotten their attention. i had done the whole verification with the cra's before then and no bad response. now had i done whats in this thread, who knows. could have been better or worse. it did teach me not to be afraid of the dreaded "summons" though.
