  1. CPPSAVINGS still works today.
  2. Thanks for your advice. What happens after filing a police report on this sort of thing?
  3. Posting a question on behalf of someone else. Any input is appreciated: My daughter recently obtained a student loan and used me as a cosigner without my knowledge. My ex-wife had my social security number and gave it to my daughter in order to obtain the loan. I only learned about this when ACS student loan provider started calling my house, because my daughter apparently isn't in school and isn't making payments on the loan. The account has not yet been turned over to a collection agency. I've been asking ACS to send me a copy of the promisory note since early February, and they keep saying they'll do it, but they haven't yet. I presume someone forged my signature, but I don't know. My conversations with them up until now have been via phone. I know now that any future correspondence should be via CMRRR, but this is what has happened up until now. What is my best course of action at this point?
  4. And I can use them even though TC already cancelled me?
  5. TrueCredit cancelled me a couple of months ago for daily pulls, and I need a new service. I just need to bump a few inquiries off of EQ. Does it matter what service I use, or will they all result in *b* eventually? Any suggestions for an alternative service?
  6. Nope - agrees. That's what it says. What should I do?
  7. Not on Transunion. On TU it says, "Disupte resolved - customer agrees."
  8. Congratulations! That's awesome. Juniper always denies me, so that's a huge accomplishment in my book.
  9. ^bump for the morning crowd
  10. I recently sent a DV letter to Credigy, who is and has been holding a charged off Discover account of mine for a long time. I'm well outside of the 30 days. I offered to settle the account (made no admission that it was mine, though) and they ignored my offer. So I resorted to DV. They had been reporting the collection as an installment account on EQ and TU. Since I requested DV (which they can't possibly furnish, at least not for an installment account, since I never signed any agreement to open an installment account with them), they've furnished nothing and they have added the account (as an installment account) to EX. They did mark it in dispute. Do I have a violation there? Especially considering that I'm well outside the 30 days? How should I proceed? This one account is going to be the death of me.
  11. Huh... thanks. I re-sent it and everything seems to be fine this time. No idea what happened before. Maybe just a fluke.
