  1. I knew you where going to say that. LOL... So if I am understanding you right. Is that 0-10 just for the pull to see if I qualify for the loan or is this 0-10 average hit for buying a "reasonable" car given income and debt ratio? Thanks again Marv..
  2. Thanks Marv, that's kinda what I was thinkin. I was just hopin that someone on here had an idea of how many it could drop. That if they knew what each score was and then went and tried to get a car, and looked afterwards. That oh look here, it dropped 13 points for that pull.
  3. I would wait until you get the letters from the CRA's, stating what they have done. Then I would apply for the loan. Even tho they are showing in dispute by consumer means nothing. If the CRAs delete the neg info then up goes your scores..and down goes the intrest rate. Are you looking to get it off your credit? or what? is it reporting that the debt is unpaid or something? I guess I'm not understanding why you are fighting it? Good Luck...
  4. I have a question, and I hope I am asking in the right forum. Here goes. Does anyone know how many points your score drops when your credit is pulled for a auto loan? Meaning if my score is 747 ish, what is roughly the drop? 2 points 10, 35 ?? Then does it drop X amount of points and then go back up after a certian amount of months? Thanks in advance to all. I hope someone can help.
  5. I like it when it's those automated thingies talking. Never can say anything right. lol. We got 2 letters the same day from Resurgent, one saying/showing some cheesy "validation" saying that LVNV bought this acct from GE Cap and it was xxxx.xx and the extra $$ is for fees and what not. The other letter dated 5 days later, saying they are investigating this matter and will get back to us. HA what a joke. That made my husband so mad that he got on here and started reading Jacks LVNV story. The time he was done with his letter to them, he is gonna hit'um where it hurts. I should put his letter on here and let ya read it. It's good for s/one who just started in reading on the how to clean your credit from here.
  6. The SOL depends on your state. In the stae of KY the SOL starts on the last date the merchant/creditor extended credit to you, before you went into default. and other states go by the last payment received before default. So you need to find out what it is in YOUR state and go from there. Good luck!
  7. This is so great. Woohoo’s. to ya’ll. I have a quick Question, When your mortgage gets sold from WF to WashMu to Wachoiva then to WM again and now it's back to WF. Would this be the same TL? The acct number never changed, only companies. And when hitting the CRA's can I say this is a duplicate? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
  8. All I can say is WOW! To think your only 17 and have your whole life to get credit cards. Why the rush?
  9. Yes I have found that topic. Very helpful it is. lol. yeah in my DV letter we put that LVNV, their lawyer and any of their affiliates could not contact us by phone. But it hasn't stopped them so far. lol.. what morons.. lol.. Thanks
  10. yes...since they know...or SHOULD know...that it's disputed... they MAY argue that since Resurgent is the same company, they weren't required to notify them of the dispute... IF they do that...start counting the money, becuase then they'll be admitting that they DID know of the dispute...and as such, are barred from attempting collection Thanks, Pryan! I was thinking that. But wasn't sure.
  11. Agreed!!! OP, I hate to say it, but that is pretty tame. They do go much, much lower. Oh I'm sure they do and will. I'm just glad that I found this board. I am learning more and more from this site, to help me use agaist them. LOL.. So let the battle begin. at least I know where I can come and get help and advise now..
  12. Thanks sherman.
  13. bump for more to see.
  14. Hey Pyran, I have question. I sent out a DV letter to the lawyer LVNV sent my hubbys acct to and got the green card back and with in 9 days of them getting it (on the 14th of this month) LVNV gave/sold/sent it off to Resurgent and I got a phone call from this AM. here is the link to what happened http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=333398 So my question is does the 807 rule apply since it is a sister company of LVNV?
  15. This is awesome. I have to say I am excited for ya'll. What a way to think outside of the box. Good job Jack.. This really needs to be pinned..
