A long time ago when I got a divorce it was in the divorce papers that she would get the car and pay for it. Of course she did not pay for it and the finance co took me to court and I showed the judge the papers. I won and didn't have to pay. I moved a year later to another state and they tried to sue me again and I showed them the court rulings and that was the end of it. Maybe I got a good judge.

buying a car before chapter 13 is discharged
freonrick replied to postal24060's topic in Automotive Financing
when I bought my new ford I had to have actual discharge paper in hand before they would finance. this was almost 2 years ago. -
I entered my wamu user id and password and it did not work. I put down I forgot username/password and entered all the info it asked for and I can access my personal account now. I have not been able to add my business card yet to it. I called them and it is not finished yet. I will try tonight again.

I got a statement today and it showed a limit of 3500. I owe 940. I looked on line and my limit is now 990. I called them for the fun of it. Poor lady was caught in several lies. I quess its hard to work for Credit cards co. like this. They must be running out of money to loan.

I did it a few years ago. The first thing is you must have the trustee permission. 99% of the places will not do it. I did a 3 year chapter 13. I had a auto loan that I paid out side of the loan. At the end of the 2nd year that loan was paid off. So the 325 dollar payment would have to go to the trustee unless I bought another car. I found a good buy here pay here place, that would do it. Yes I paid more than what the car was worth. But I had to pay either the trustee or another car payment. As soon as I got my discharge I paid the loan off. I kept it and bought a new ford and got it with 6% interest. I have a excellent history of auto loans and mortgage loans so that helped.

yesterday I got my chapter 13 discharge. My fico score is 643. I bought a 2008 Escape Limited loaded at 7.9%. I let the F&I do what he does best. Thanks for all your advice on this board.

Do you have a x-plan pin number? the xplan price is within 1% of dealer invoice price according to ford's xplan papers I have. you need to read the rules. dealers do not have to honor the plan,

Question about Ford current rebates
freonrick replied to dewdewbrown's topic in Automotive Financing
make sure you get a pin number and go to fordpartner.com and read the rules. most incentives you still can get with the pricing. after I got my pin number I can bring up the ford website and see the price I can get the vechicle for and it shows I still get the rebate. I will see what happens when I actually go down and purchase the vehicle. -
I read where some people will get better loans at credit unions, some at on line loans and some at dealers. Since alot of dealers uses auto scores, how about the credit union and places like e-loan? which do they use auto score or fico?
