Thanks Konrad! Geesh 3 cards minimum wow ok well here we go *cracks knuckles* time to get busy! I will take your advice and apply for chase freedom, odly enough Credit Karma kept suggesting i apply for that card but i didn't want to press my luck and seem greedy seeing as though i was newly approved for discover, still have a couple HUGE baddies and i have a thin profile... so worst case scenario, if i get denied for the card how long do i wait till i re-apply?

i wrote a reply under the account i created yesterday when i couldn't remember my log in for this one... i didn't mean to do that, i guess my browser somehow signed me in under that account instead of this one. Wish i knew how to delete that account

*inserts praise emoji* So i totally screwed up my life and credit beginning over 7 years ago and i was totally scared of ever having credit agiain... but my lovely paid in full car fell victim to natural disaster (a huricane aka an unlicensed, uninsured relative took it joy riding and totaled it) i needed a car so last year i took out a loan with Santandar super high interest rate... at the time i was able to pay well over the monthly payment so i convinced myself that I'd pay it off without paying double... but there was one thing i didnt factor in, possibly owning a home in the future. To own a home I'd have to be free and clear of all judgments. So I've been paying down the judgment and i am now only able to pay the regular payment on my car. Ok so here is the breakdown what i want. #1 priority is to refinance cut my payments significantly and save the rest for a future down payment on a home #2 condo purchase something small #3 a credit card with CL in teens for unexpected happenings (these 8 years without an in case of emergencies card has been interesting to say the least) CHALLENGES: Burned Creditors with charge offs over 7 years ago, not on CRAs and out of SOL (BofA, Cap One Business, HSBCU, HFCU, Juniper, Hooters) * WellsF took over the wamu account and got an auto judgment (i was never served...) for 14k - is reporting on all 3 but due to fall of by 7 year mark in less than a year * 7+ year old federal tax lien only paid off since 2+ years ago (will work on removal with the program ) * Only 2 open accounts the auto with 6+ months history and Discover 500 limit card 1 month history PIF no bal * AAOA 4 months * Ficos between 660 and 680 on all three as of april 2015 My possible plan of attack: *Get another unsecured card asap (i thought one was enough until reading i need at least 2-3 in the rebuilder stage) i am opted out so i really dont know who i will have luck with. I'm really scary when it comes to credit INQ dont want to rack them up.... given the information provided, any suggestions? *Get a credit builder loan asap *Apply for refinance 6 months after i get the 2nd credit card and builder loan (thought process: less than 5 INQ on EQ within 6 to 12 month 0 INQ on TU & EX within 6 to 12 month... AAOA will be over 6 months - Car over 12 months, DSCVR over 6, Unkown Card & Credit Builder 4-5 reporting months and CLI with Discover are possible within this time-higher the limit better the profile and maybe i wont have to PIF every month) *6 months after refi apply for a CC with the same CU i refi with & another generous Credit Card Co (thought process: only one INQ between 6 to 12 months old, no baddies the judgment would fall off by then and the lien should be off, i will have a better credit card fico with 2 cards at 1 year with higher limits with CLI, give the refinance loan time to age to 6 months)

CA showing paid on CR after OC error
New School replied to New School's topic in Medical Billing & Medical Collections
Thanks everyone! UPDATE: account is off all CRs. I must admit that I didn't do anything after I wrote this post. I just felt so overwhelmed with it all but i was going to get around to doing it. I'm not sure why it's off my file but happy it is. Should I do anything to make sure it doesnt magically reappear? Or should i just let sleeping dogs rest? -
Hey I have a similar situation here is my situation and what I was planning on doing.... I was on a payment plan with a physician billing office but turns out I still have a.balance of $91 the original bill was about $2000 and they never called or sent letters for payment I just had to remember to pay and I wasn't that mindful. A couple days ago I received the first letter from a CA to pay the balance of $91. Its not reporting on my credit file. I want to get this handled. I was thinking I would call the OC Monday, apologize for the oversight, pay the debt and ask them to take me out of collections. Then I would write a DV to the CA .... What say you whychat?

This is now standard for federal agencies when you do anything online that requires ID verification, It's an effort to reduce fraud. Indeed.... apparently the internets doesn't know this to be true.... just thought id share so this can get indexed in the search engines and more people will know

Hello all sharing a little bit of info…. if your credit report has an inquiry from Uncle Sam… and you decide to google IRS inquiry on Credit Report you will get results like "an IRS credit inquiry is VERY negative….. tells potential lenders that the IRS is either preparing an audit or about to file a tax lien…" that's all … well there is an additional reason the IRS will pull your credit file… if you visit the IRS website to request transcripts… it will be a soft pull…. check to see if the days match up they verify identity this way …. So if you get an inquiry please don't have a panic attack (like someone I know )

CA showing paid on CR after OC error
New School replied to New School's topic in Medical Billing & Medical Collections
Sorry posting from my phone.... *cont. So the OC says it was paid and they would tell the collection agency to stop reporting it on my credit report. December the collection is still on my credit report as paid. Please help. This is a headache. I need this deleted Ps its reporting to all 3... I disputed with experian in Nov as paid with the original creditor it came back as unpaid. -
In december 2012 I went to ER but was not treated. I was placed in a room to stay in until my police escort arrived (I escaped rape). A doctor walked in asked me if weeks itI was comfortable I said yes he walked out. Weeks later I get two bills one from the ER one from the physician. At the time I was going through a lot of personal issues so those two small bills were not a priority. Around April 2013 things started to get better and I called the hospital they said my debt had been written off to charity. I then got a bill from the physician for almost $300 I called them and asked them why are they billing me when the doctor didn't actually do anything. They didn't care they wanted their money and I refused to pay. Come late June I get a letter from a collection agency. I called the physician to settle the debt. Turns out they never got my insurance info from the hospital records. I gave it to them and they said they would apply it and let the collection company know they should stop collection activities. August 2012 I get a new statement showing where they took the debt back from the agency and applied the insurance. My new balance was less than $20. I paid the balance. November 2012 I pull my credit report and see a fresh new collection account from the collection agency with the full $300 showingas unpaid. (I check every few weeks it just showed up in Nov) I contacted the collection agency and they said it was accurate. I contacted the OC they said they said I had two bills and one was not paid. Someone from the OC calls me back same day to let me know she was wrong I only had one bill and it wwmmwmm
