I had a WaMu CC that was converted to Chase just like many of you and today I got an email from Chase that said they are going to give me a "free" upgrade to something called "Slate with blueprint". It said I will get a new CC by September to replace the one I have and won't change the account number. I skimmed over the highlights and the only thing that looked a bit different was in regard to splitting large purchases off in order to pay them off seperately. I have no idea if this is a good thing or a bad thing but, I thought I would ask you guys if you've gotten this email and what do you think it means? Jack

I disagree. If you allow yourself to focus on the negative experiences you will have wasted your life. EVERYONE has issues, forget about it and live your life.

I don't know if you are aware "unemployability" rating from the VA bit it helps your qualification with SSI. yeah Im aware but as mentioned, above I dont qualify for TDIU(thanks Joe).... Im also kinda weary if my SSDI claim is gonna be approved, probably not because I am attending classes, even though it is just to keep from going crazy, I for sure am not employable, havn't been since since September of 2007, sat around at home for a year on active duty until they retired me.... sp33d, My memory is a bit fuzzy regarding the SSI process but what I do recall is that I was sent to 2 different Doc's. One for physical, one for mental ( I could have told them, if they asked me, that I'm crazzzzy!) Any way I don't recall any discussions about specific things I was able to do. Something doesn't add up. 8 inquiries bumped from TU in one month? It typically takes AT LEAST 80 softs to get *B* on TU. The 8 on TU were on the same day in Aug. 2008, car shopping. Also, I'm going to guess that the 3 you have lost on EXP were over 2 years old (IOW, they aged off). Otherwise, you have just become the first person to ever *B* inquiries off of EXP early. Began with CCT on 9/21/09 with the following inq's: EX: 6 EQ: 6 TU: 8 Status as of today: EX: 3 EQ: 6 TU: 0 I think I'll hang with CCT for another 30 days to see if I can wipe out EX totally. It doesn't look good for EQ but we'll see.

DF, I pray to GOD that your in-laws don't fall into this category. If they were my daughter/son-in-law or vice versa, CPS would get a 911 from me.

I suggest you lower your expectations, be patient, and if it happens, great. If not, there's a reason why and a lesson to be learned. I have had this card for 2-3 years and it reports faithfully every month, because they do not have to, which is all I need it to do. PATIENCE is not over rated.
