Outcome: Deleted However, Amex cancelled my account due to this C/O. Should I call back explain it was an error and it was removed?

In around 2004 the company that I worked for issued me a CITI Corporate Card. When I departed the company there was an issue with a training that I attended, I cannot recall if it was double billed or what not. At some point, it was charged to the card. Since 2007, I have had a spotless credit report. This month I wanted to take part in a promotional offer by home depot and applied for their store card, was declined due to a delinquency on Experian. I pulled experian and saw that it was changed to show a charge off in October of this year. How can I fix this? This account was closed in May of 2005 (my depart date).

My average return is roughly 5K. No matter how close to zero that I try getting, I usually get a refund of 2K to 5K. I wish I could just say, take 5K now and the rest out of my next return. The reason why I owe this year was due to a bonus (untaxed) of over 6 months salary. Untaxed income and new tax bracket. The company recognized their error and are paying 50% of the taxes due. I just wanted to spread the payment out (with their low interest rate).

No, I had the money, but I bought a house and ended up needing new appliances and work done. I have been on a solid budget and know i can pay it back or charge it. I just like the idea of having a payment plan. I received a cash - 1099 (untaxed bonus) of a significant amount and was bumped a tax bracket. The cash I put aside was used in the situation I mentioned above. I have exactly half of the cash on hand.

That is what I heard, I like that plan better.

Out of all the times I had to call and confirm information, I was only declined once. Before that one decline, I would have said it was always a guarantee.

Cap1 was always good to me, but I closed them due to the AF. I have Bank of America Cash Rewards & PenFed Promise Visa.

Say I owe 10K, which is the best way to handle? Pay on installment plan or put on a CC with 7.99% interest? Would it make a difference if I needed to do a BT for the 7.99% based on a 4% BT Fee?

Any reason not to block CA numbers on my cell phone?

I use Google Voice for call screening/blocking. I no longer have outstanding debt, but I do have a landline that is plagued with the calls (from previous owner) and I direct the line through Google Voice and block them all. -
I personally hate pre-paid credit cards (as gift cards), you always end up wasting money. I thought maybe I could unload it towards my Target Red Card, but was wrong. What is an efficient use for a $200 Visa?

I got a recording saying I was being sent to a call center in Phoenix and still got a heavy middle eastern accent. I should have known better, we live in the United States of Islamic Extremist and we have two dialects. Broken English and Spanish.
