  1. I tried to get a BT card and couldn't due to high utilization so I’m doing it the hard way, according to the spreadsheet I’m using I will be debt free by DEC 2009. Try to visit the money management section of the board, it has a lot of information and tips. Lessons learned: - I will never trust credit cards companies - I will only buy the things that I can afford and pay in full, - I will never pay interest Good Luck
  2. You can DV if you like, or you can PFD hoping that they agree. I like PFD technique because I really want to pay them their money back but at the same time I wanted it removed from my report. Unfortunately, PFD doesn’t work all the time so the only option is not to pay them anything and fight it by using the DV technique or other existing techniques. At the end, you win and they lose. Best of Luck
  3. Regardless if they are paid or unpaid or late payments, you must remove them from your report so you can have a clean report. I have offered CA’s PFD and offers were rejected by some of them so I just removed them . I also had one paid collection and was removed from all three CRA's, except that Experian gave a hard time but was eventually removed. Best of luck
  4. If i can do it, i'm sure you can too

    Congratulation!
  6. My visa check card @ 0.0%
  7. Great Ideas, just remember to use credit wisely, pay in full every month that way you don’t pay interest. Also, there are a lot of credit card companies that are scam, so watch out for them.
  8. I really don't recommend this card; you should have gotten a secured card with BOA or maybe Orchard. Well it's too late now, just make sure you pay in full every month, and if that's your only credit card, your utilization == 100% if your credit card balance reports $200 and 0% utilization if it reports $0 balance. You should pay in full every month.
  9. You can use your debt card or check card, make sure you sanitize your plastic cards too. Or, should we all panic and start maxing our credit cards and get in debt.
  10. There is nothing wrong with his/her statement. Credit cards companies are not something an individual or a company should relay on, it is your emergency cash funds that you should relay on. Sorry but truth hurts.
  11. he is right: "Most consumers take credit cards for granted as a necessary tool for living in 21st century America."
  12. CCT pulls your credit directly from EQ, TU, and EX, so it should be accurate. BTW, i use 'Beyond Compare' to compare today's report with yesterday's and so on to spot minor changes.
  13. You go play with your payday loans. I'll stick with my negative interest short term loans. Not when you have an emergency fund , I mean cash emergency fund not "available credit" that could one day be gone or amexed , my cash is mine I have both. the best of both worlds. Me too ,
