Need help with when old debts to fall off
donnaneedscredit replied to donnaneedscredit's topic in Credit Forum
"Breaking the lease" means you didn't abide by the terms of the contract that you signed. So you did break the lease. Wasn't really what I was asking about but thanks so much for clearing that up , I feel so much better now. I'm sure you have much more things to do other than pick at me so thank you for taking time out of your busy day to help. If you legitimately hadn't broken the lease that would have opened up other options for dealing with your issue. You breached the contract, so that sends you in a different direction. You usually get better results when you start with facts. You may put me on ignore if you don't want honest, accurate information. I don't need to ignore you. Please feel free to answer any post that I write. Again, you addressed a point that I was not asking. I knew that I had a broken lease, was only making light of the fact that they said they needed a 90 day notice. I had specifically asked 3 questions, but I'll take the blame, I put too much information there for what I was asking. Also - it wasn't that I didn't put "facts" I just didn't expand on the facts that I put because I was only asking those 3 questions - not questions about the broken lease. So to add to those facts - I moved out on the day that I was suppose to move out, not any earlier, I just gave a 45 day notice and not 90. -

Need help with when old debts to fall off

Let me simplify my question - I may have given too much information for the actual question that I have. Is it still true that credit bureaus delete old debt beginning at 6 months prior to the purge date. Thank you -
I searched for this information but I"m not coming up with what I'm looking for. I have some bad credit from back in 2009/2010 when the economy tanked and I lost a business and income. One in particular is from an apartment complex that stated that I owed them 3000.00 for breaking a lease. Well I didn't really break the lease, I just didn't give the full 90 day notice. Anyway - the point is, I'm moving and I need to lease an apartment. I tried but they told me I had a "broken lease" and so they could not lease to me. They even said if I paid the old apartment debt that they would lease to me . This debt is from April 2009. It is due to drop off next spring. So I have 3 questions: 1 - Years ago ( 12 or so since I had to deal with this lol ), it was common knowledge that debts would fall off 6 months prior to their purge date, is this still true? 2 - Also - it was known that if you disputed a debt within 6 mos prior to the purge date that the CRA's would go ahead and delete 3 - Once this old apartment debt falls off, will I be able to lease, ( assuming everything else is in order ) Thank you for your help. I have re-established a couple of times in my life but not in a good while so I'm sure things have changed. Donna

Business credit building from scratch.

This is a NEW corporation / business right? And your getting approvals in the range of $3k to $40K ? Wow that is great, sounds like the "old days" of business credit. Do you think this is realistic for all new businesses or is there something in your history that is assisting with the approvals? Thanks and great work. I'm just getting started again. Yes new business from March of this year. I haven't used anything from my other companies to help the approvals along, basically just doing it like any one else would. But keep in mind many factors go into getting approved besides the credit it self. Right !! Ok thanks so much for the reply - -
80 Paydex with 3 payment experiences, what's next?

Wow how things have changed lol. Back in '08 - ' 09 and before it was IMPERATIVE to be listed in directory assistance. Its so funny to hear that 411 is not that important. So now its very important to get those social media sites going right away.

I am going to give them a try. I need as many beginner net 30's as possible.

Congrats - I'd love to have this account again. I had it years ago. I am just rebuilding again so I'm sure I'm along way off. -
Good for you!! Can't wait until I get to the point where I can apply for the bigger accounts.

Hello everyone, Just starting to build business credit for the 3rd time. The first time my business failed after successfully building a nice DNB file due to a change in that industry, the 2nd time my business failed due to the 2009 failing ecomony and business credit literally crashed and burned! So here I go go again -- It looks like things are a little better than a couple of years ago. I tried to get started in 2012 but the credit industry was still very tight. It looks now like things might be coming around some. Of course I'll start with the usual net 30s. Wish me luck!!

Ok, thanks for the info. I am starting to build again and I will definitely use them. (AZ Snacks) I had really good results building business credit back in 07 - 09. Those were the good ol days lol. Then the economy tanked and so did my business. I am starting to build credit again on my new business. It was a lot easier then... But it still can be done.. I should add the only good the builder will do anyone is if you have a high dollar trade you want to add to file but you do want to make the vendor is willing to give the info to DNB and DNB will accept it. But even with out the builder you can use the vendors who don't report as trade references which helps with a lot of approvals. Once a paydex is reached now, what is available w/o pg? The order was back then, staples, office d, then on to dell, best buy etc. I am really out of touch now. I have searched and it seems to be hit or miss now. Once a Pay Dex is reached, you can begin building business credit with the usual net 30 accounts w/o pg. Quil, Uline, Grainger, Reliable, AZ Snacks, Trade Smart Products, FedEx Office, Nebs, and some others. Staples and Office Depot would come after you've had a few orders from your net 30 reporting to your credit files. Things have changed. But credit is still available. It's all about your business credit file. Trade smart products?? Another credit building sales company? Has to be with that website set up just just like the AZ snacks one.. This is some one here without a doubt. I agree. I'm not getting involved with either one. DNB will definitely flag anybody that buys from them once they get caught. And its not a pretty sight either. They will put right on your report that you are buying credit. There isn't enough activity on this board right now but in the past they would have been run off of here so quick . I advise anyone NOT to deal with them.
