Defense to this? Credit Union added a ghost account. Texas resident.

I wanted to update this for prosperity: The NCUA was moving slow to address the so I wrote a certified intent to sue letter to the credit union's President and cc'd the credit union's board, the Texas attorney general, and the NCUA ombudsman. Three days later, employee from credit union request one week to resolve issue. I ok'ed it. SIDE NOTE: Writing a company's President and board works wonders. At the end of week period, lawyer for the credit union email me a letter basically saying they can do nothing as it credit reporting processor (outsourced company) doing the reporting under their name. Attorney said I could call, so I gave hi a buzz and stated it was the first I heard of the a outsourced company involved, and would sue them both in the federal court for FCRA violations. Attorney ask could he follow up next day. Fine. Next day lawyer proposed a settlement to clear off the account I agree to do so with monetary compensation as I had two business loans which I had to conditionally explain this situation in order to get approved. Lawyer went back to credit union, next day a proposed settlement which I took under the condition that the settlement covers the, not the credit reporting processing company. Attorney went back to company, next day agreed. Settlement done with confidentiality agreement, Now I sent the outsource company a intent to sue letter, and the complaint I intend to file with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau and the Texas Attorney General. -
No college, technical school with training classes (college credit) provided by the job. His age could definitely be a factor as he is 23 y/o. The items I listed are the only things on his reports (all 3).

He went ahead and called in. She said the number has not been generated as of yet, and to call back Monday. Currently on his report has: A NavFed 1k secured (2 year) A NavFed 20k authorized user (5yr) A 14k car loan from from NavFed (10 months) All paid on time or ahead. I have my other NavFed card for 8k that I will call in and add him this week. He is going to give them a buzz tomorrow, and go from there. If that fail, I told him to wait 6 months and try again for the increase... Thank you so much for help and insight. I will update this after his call.

Thanks His rate for his car is a little over 12% @48 months, which he's had about 10 months. Considering my AMG was literally financed at 1%, I thought that was high. PenFed wanted to finance him at 18% at the time (wow).

2 years ago, I placed him as a secondary user on my 20k Nav Cash Rewards card (which I don't use) and had him get a secure card in order to build his credit. Also has a car with NFCU. He uses his Rewards debit card only. Buy sparely on secured only to build history. 729 score. Ready to work overseas and I told him that a credit card would make a great emergency backup. He applied and only 1k. Call or use internal messaging is better for increase? Thank you Is there a

So a straight request via the internal messaging or to call? Has there been any success with one over the other? He has supporting paychecks. They are direct deposited into his account.

My son applied for the NavFed goRewards credit card, and he was approved for 1k. A DoD employee, he makes over 74k per year. He has a secured go card with them for 2 years and a 14k car loan. All paid on time or in advance. Who can he contact for a credit line increase as he just was approved. Thanks!

Understood. I will dispute with the bureau and cu first, and wait for the outcome of that. I will prepare federal filings here instead of small claims. Thank you for your guidance. I will update as I get information. -

Thank you. Thanks to the both you, tmcgill and ICANHASMUNY. Yes, I have filed a NCUA appeal with the Ombudsman's office. Very kind, but has several months backlog of appeal cases. Should I file as a new complaint? I will dispute via the CRA as inaccurate and mail out certified tomorrow. I sent an intent to sue letter to the CU as a requirement of the small claims court. -
Hello All I disputed charges with my credit union as "not mine" within a month of viewing the charges on my account statement. I also disputed with the credit bureaus. This was a low limit credit card that I never used, literally in the sock drawer. I got a response from the credit union stating that they report all charges correctly and that it will stay on my account. I escalated the complaint to the National Credit Union Administration (long/ hoop jumping process) who replied that the credit union has agreed to work with me to my satisfaction. They will close the case. A week later, I got a alert that there was another account by this same credit union now added to my reports: - Other/ Collection Charged Off/ Opened Dec. 1 2013/ Unsecured Loan/ Term: 59 Months/ Remaining Balance: $236 The account I originally disputed is: - Credit Card/ Closed (Transferred/ Sold/ Paid)/ Opened Sept. 23 2009/ Closed Mar 1 2013 at consumer's request/ Lates: 1(30) 3 (90) Balance $0 To say the least, this is effecting my credit in a negative manner. I spoke with the credit union's risk assessor, and although she spoke with the collection's manager, she refused to removed the ghost account. Even work with me concerning the disputed account. Thanks for working to my satisfaction! I work them a intent to sue (small claims court) letter. I am a Texas resident, filing in Harris County, Texas and seeking advice and others who may have experienced this situation. Thank you in advance.

Thank you. I did the complaint online today.

Thank you for your response. The errors are: Closed credit union card the has a 60 day late on it. The card was closed due to a lost but another card was issued which has perfect positive credit history. Two credit union loan which is showing the inaccurate payment history (amounts). A car loan that is paid off, but is showing a balance. Two years old, smh.
