Is the Freedom 2013 calendar posted somewhere? Their website still says coming soon. Never mind, it is posted here https://creditcards.chase.com/freedom/Default.aspx

I'm always amazed when people get auto-CLIs. I remember getting one from Capital One about 8-9 years ago, none since.

There's a lot more to compete with than straight 1%/2% cards. The Chase Freedom has similar 5% reward categories and 1% on everything else from the first dollar. US Bank Cash+ has 5% categories you can keep year round. Amex BCP has 6% on groceries and 3% on gas and dept stores year round. I have a Discover (Open Road but soon converting to It) but it's pretty rare that it makes sense to use it. I signed up for the 2% bonus but my Priceline Visa gives me 2% on everything without the $250 cap.

I don't know about Miles but I was able to convert my Open Road.

The MASTER What Qualifies for 5% on the US Bank CASH+ CARD
gbar replied to hegemony's topic in Credit Forum
Got my statement today and both of the following qualified for 5% for Bill Payments VERIZON*RECURRINGPAY 800-VERIZON PA Merchant code 4899 T-MOBILE RECURRING PMT 800-937-8997 WA Merchant code 4814 Both are autopay. Verizon is FIOS, not cell service. -
I had a BofA card with a $10k limit. I recently applied for another to take advantage of a $300 bonus. Got a "we'll get back to you within 30 days" notice so assumed no-go. I logged into my account today and I see that the new card is actually there, $5000 limit. Then I looked at my old card and the limit is listed as $6000. Is it likely that they moved some of the limit to the new card or is it more likely they did a CLD earlier without telling me? I don't use the old card and probably won't use the new one after the bonus, just kinda confused about their motivation. I'd hope they'll at least mail me something about it.

Bad news for Verizon customers who use USBank Cash + card
gbar replied to comptalk's topic in Credit Forum
My FIOS automatic payment happened 2 days ago and the MCC is 4899. I'll know for sure when I get the bill in a few weeks but hopefully this means I'll get the 5% too. Thanks for the info about downloading transaction data to get the code. -

Ouch. Biggest reason I got this card was 5% on my FIOS bill. Stuck with that category for the rest of the quarter. -
Disappointing. I was hoping It would give me a reason to use my Discover since it's my oldest card but there's never any reason to use it.

Amex BCP for 6$ groceries/3% gas Chase Freedom for 5% categories (Gas stations/restaurants starting in July) US Bank Cash+ for 5% categories (Bills/restaurants right for the rest of June, bills/home improvement starting in July) Priceline for 2% on everything else ING Direct Electric Orange debit card Driver's license medical/dental insurance cards AAA card Work ID card and gate card Bottle opener (like these http://www.logobarproducts.com/bottle_openers_credit_card.php )
-
What's everyone picking for 5% categories? I went with restaurants and bills. Next quarter I'll probably switch restaurants out since the Freedom is 5% for those. 2% I picked drug stores because I'm already 6%/3% groceries/gas with the BCP.

Mine came in today. $10k signature.

Thanks for the reply! Tried to get my TU report online first, then like a year later I mailed in the form to get the paper copy (still through ACR). Paper copy never came. Just filled out the comment form on ACR.com a couple days ago. Seems like the timing of everything showing up on CK might be related but it could be a coincidence. Basically everything on creditkarma is mine. The only error is that one of my accounts shows up twice, I think that was due to a similar screwup where I made my dad an authorized user and it ended up on my reports. Nothing else on the report is or could be his. I'm pretty sure he just has 1 credit card. EQ and EX seem fine. Got both paper reports from ACR and my name is John Smith 3 on both of them. I guess I'll spend tomorrow trying to get someone at TU on the phone.

This is something I'm sure I should have dealt with a lot sooner but haven't bothered until now because I figured it didn't really matter much. My dad is (using a fake name here) John Smith Jr. I am John Smith III. At some point my dad picked up the unintentional alias of John J Smith, we're not sure how that happened. At some point I picked up the unintentional alias of John J Smith Jr. My credit cards are all under the name John Smith III or just John Smith. Last year I tried getting my online tranunion report from annualcreditreport and got an error. Didn't bother trying again for a while. A month or two ago I tried mailing for the paper copies. Got my other two report but not TU. I've been using CreditKarma for a few months now and it has never had all of my accounts, not even half. I assumed CK was just doing something wrong and didn't think much about it. A couple days ago I filled out the comment form at ACR saying I never received my TU report. Today, CreditKarma popped up a message that my name has changed from John Jr Smith Jr to John Smith Jr, and the rest of my cards showed up. I'm a little concerned about disputing the name because I don't want to cause issues with any of my accounts. All of the accounts reporting are actually mine, none of his are on my CreditKarma report. What's the best way to handle this?
