The "go score" is a nice extra. It looks like it will update monthly. And since Merrick has taken over Hooters, I have had 2 auto CLI's.

I suspect that cities like those, if one is exempt and the other not. The one that is not exempt will continue to have to eat the fees in order to stay competitive. I will observe closely how it works out in my home town. -

A little off topic. Long time since I have posted here, but lurk around occasionally. I live in Texas, so I am exempt. But I often literally walk the width of a 5 lane street (from work to a little C store) into another state that is not exempt and spend about 10 to 15 bucks several time a week. It is going to be interesting to see how this effects the commerce from one side of the street to the other for all the businesses here. The state line virtually splits the retail district for this city. Since Texas has no tax on groceries, the other state has a special exemption that allows it to not collect a tax on groceries in order to stay competitive. It is going to be interesting to see how they handle this. There may be a loud sucking sound across the state line if they are not creative My city has 3 Wal Marts. One in Texas, and 2 in the other state. That will be interesting how they handle that one. -

What Would You Do If You Found A Bag Containing $18,000?

hmmmmm turn it in...it is a karma thing....always do the right thing 99.9% of the time. 99.9% good karma is good enough for me -
No cream or salve would relieve the itching. So I pulled the trigger. My pre-approval was for the standard gold card. The CSR talked me into going for the premier gold card with fee waved for a year and 10,000 point bonus after first purchase....WHY NOT. The card will be in the mail box within 5 days. YEE HAW He was not however very encouraging about getting the card back dated back to the original date of 1992 {1992 was a guess ), when the card was closed. He knew exactly what I was asking. He did however tell me to call customer service when I got the card and see if they would do that. I can sleep now the itch is gone. A side note, I got a pre-approved for the ZYNC card in the mail today. That really got me back to thinking about the first offer for the gold card. I will update the credit pulls later this evening or tomorrow....back to work now Received the card yesterday. Logged in to register and activate, and setup payment options. At the top of the welcome page it said " member since 1989". I hope it actually reports that way. what a boost to average age.

Rewards Gold Card from American Express. Pre approved letter. First application in over 2 years. And the last for a few years, unless a super deal on a gas card, or super financing deal on a new mower come along. If I need one that is.
