She started to get a little ticked around month 4. My wife was a little upset also but I did not mind at all. The location is great. It has a park and ride to high tech jobs a short walk from the house. When we went to closing yesterday all 58 lots were sold and my house is worth 20k more than we paid. So I do not think it was a bad deal for us.

Your agent just wants to get his money faster. My agent had to wait 10 months to get her cash. She had to wait until our new home was complete and closed.

I go in about the same time as you. I have been waiting a long time. Its a new house I went in today and gave it a good look over and only found a few minor problems. I went to lowes today and bought some stuff the builder wanted big bucks for that I can do myself and save some coin (ceiling fans, garage door opener, etc.) The wife is really stoked. I had a LO that was a major pain but he is very good at what he does so it will payoff in the end.

We go to closing monday at 11:00am if the builder has everything the way I want it. We have been waiting for 10 months now. The house is now worth 20k more than we paid.

I found this thread a while back when looking for the answers to a question similar to yours. LINK I have not been able to try this method yet because we are fixing to close on a new house and cannot open any new accounts right now.

I'm thinking the same thing. Is the rate to protect your bussiness? Or is it just for the autos?

Uhhhh yeah. My old pharmacist always told me when it was cheaper to purchase the drugs without the insurance, but this new one doesn't know me, and we don't need scripts that often, so I have to ask (see what moving does to you!). I was p!ssed as all get out when my daughter needed an inhaler and it was considered "non-standard" by the insurance and as such was going to cost me 2x the amount of a "standard" script. Then I found out that it would cost 1/2 the price of the regular copay if I just paid for it outright! That's when I realized the power of "ask!" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know just what I'm talking about . My pharmacist knows I want the best deal possible. I go to one of the old style neighborhood pharmacys were they know your name. Walgreens is building a store across the street so I know they won't be in bussiness much longer I will really miss them. The insurance companys really stick it to folks with some of there copays. yucca

Do you all use your cafeteria plans at work? A good way to save for medical and daycare expenses tax free. I have been doing it a few years now. I do the dependant care one. I put in 20.00 a week I don't miss the 20.00 at all as it comes out automaticly. And its 20.00 dollars I do not have to pay taxes on. At the end of the year I turn in the reciepts and get my 1040.00 dollars. My wife has her plan set up for medical expenses. Its a very easy way to save a few bucks. We both hope to up our contribution rates in the future.

Do you all ever ask for cash price on your scripts? I find that it saves me a few bucks a month by doing this. The wife and I have double insurance for ourselfs and our daughter through or places of enployment. The insurance companys seems to be running a scam with there copays. Usally 10 to 20 dollars a pop. A lot of the scripts we get on a monthly basis are only 7 to 8 bucks for a thrity day supply. I have saved as much as 10.00 on some purchases. Even a little savings can add up over the term of a year. It won't work on some of the scripts but it does not hurt to ask.

The auction report seem to be dead on from the stuff I see in the paper and the trader. Now I have to decide if I want the hassel of selling privately. yucca

Thanks for your help. I think I will try to sell the tahoe in the paper. They seem to be listing for 2 to 3k above your auction report. Thanks again for your help. yucca

I am looking to buy a car. The car is a 2004 chevy impala ss. The salesman has offered the car for dead invoice minus all rebates. Is this a fair deal? Also what kind of trade value can I get out of a 1998 chevy Tahoe 4dr 4x4 with 62k miles. The tahoe is paid in full. Financing will not be a problem as I qualify for the best rates at the local CU. thanks, yucca
