  1. I think it's a smart move on the banks part.
  2. This is the total of what she has. Dscover: Credit Limit $7200 - Balance $2240 Citi bank Visa: Credit Limit $7800 - Balance $1300 First National Bank Omaha: Credit Limit $1900 - Balance $500 PNC Card Services: Credit Limit $8000 - Balance $1500 To tell you the truth I have to wonder why her credit score was higher then mine a couple months ago when we went to the bank. She likes to remind me how her credit score was higher then mine every chance she gets, lol... I'm kind of on a mission to find out why now. I had looked over my credit report at the bank and asked the banker why her credit score was higher only to have him shrug his shoulders and say you both have good credit. I have looked over my free annual credit report today and just don't see why I don't have a perfect score or at least a higher one. Thanks for the reply
  3. That's crazy
  4. A few months ago we went in to get pre approved at a bank as we where looking to purchase a different home. Of coarse the bank ran a credit report on both of us and my score average was around 735 and my wife's score was about 755. That was a couple of months ago... Today I decide to run my free annual credit report and notice that her Discover card that I'm a authorized user on is reporting to my credit reports. I never use the discover card, she (we) always pay more then minimum on the card and pay on time, but she carries a balance on the card of about 35% of the total credit limit. I'm wondering if it being reported to my credit report is brining down my credit score? I have three visa cards and no department store cards. Chase Visa $9300 limit, $0 balance BOA Visa $3000 limit, $0 balance Wells Fargo Visa $5000 limit I use the Wells Fargo visa for internet purchases, monthly utilities, hotel rooms and sometimes gas, but pay it off every month. My wife is also a authorized user on my Chase Visa and at this point I do not know if it reports anything to her credit report or not. Should I get myself removed at a authorized user from her discover card? If so how should I go about it and how will it effect my credit score? Does having my wife as a authorized user on my Chase Visa effect my credit score? Thanks for the advice...
  5. That would suck! Sorry to hear it has happened to you. If it was me I would be signing into my CC accounts online and changing the email address you use for them. This way if someone does try to use the password recovery on the CC sites the information will be sent to your new email account and not the google one that was hacked.
  6. That sucks. I had never heard of such a thing before.
  7. I have been with WF for about 20 years and have never had a problem with them, knock on wood.. I don't write checks without funds to cover them and I have never had a problem with refunds from returns being credited to my account with in a day. Just my experience with them.
  8. People turn there computers off? lol..
  9. You have a full time job and from another source other then your job you start taking in a extra $2000 a month. You have no debt and your only monthly expenses are a mortgage/rent, utilities and food. Ok, so if you have a mortgage you would not be debt free. Just for the fun of it, what would you do with the extra monthly income?
  10. I eat at this KFC all the time, but pay cash. http://www.keloland.com/news/NewsDetail6371.cfm?ID=91973
  11. I think what they mean "in collecting" as in collecting on the CC bill.
  12. I make it a point to sit down and look over our finances once a week. It's always on the same day of the week and first thing in the morning before I do anything else for the day. I keep our bills paid a month ahead of time this way if for what ever reason something unexpected comes up for the week or two weeks were I can't sit down and go over things I know the bills are taken care of for the time being. Even though our bills and investments are done online I'm low tech in how I keep track of them. I tried quicken a few years ago, but found a notebook and pen makes it simple and easy for me. How about you? Do you go over your finances daily, weekly, once a month or maybe every payday? Are you using any type of software to aid you or does pen and paper do the trick for you?
  13. I put money into prosper not long after they started out. I helped finance three or four loans and all of them defaulted in less then twelve months.
  14. Please keep us updated, good luck.
  15. What is a "second chance" bank?
