I'm still clear of hards however, I checked my softs and found that my TC and NCIP pulls prior to July are gone. CreditSecure and CK softs are all still there. Needless to say, I'm cancelling TC and NCIP and going with Credit Check Total.

It wasn't even a "risk". People complain about the CRAs violating the FCRA and now they're complaining that the CRAs are obeying the FCRA. Everyone that is bitching seems to forget (or maybe they don't know) that inquiries are REQUIRED by the FCRA to remain on your reports for no less than 1 year. There is no provision for deleting inquiries, except if they're inaccurate. I know that EQ was sued deleting inquiries, and it's possible TU got a fire light under their feet as well. Actually, the FCRA says the CRA's must disclose that information to the consumer for a period of no less than one year. The CRA's took it upon themselves to show them to the whole world for two years.

I think I understand that. I can use anyone I want as long as I'm pre-qualified thru Countrywide?

I saw this in a listing: It's a foreclosure. It doesn't say who, but apparently someone is demanding the buyer use Countrywide. Can they do that?

I'm pretty sure they will use the lower scores as with any joint app.

So what's more important here . . . how the card looks or building a relationship with Amex? If it's really all form, no substance, then cancel the card if you can't convert it; and, next time, apply for the card that you really want (i.e, the prettiest card) instead of the card that's easiest to get. i really appreciate you input but all that extra scrap keep it, i'll say it again i hate the design of this card. I'm glad my wife doesn't think like you. My "design" has changed a little over the years.

Yeah they are against the law, but they're funny as hell to read and we can still have a little fun thinking them up...assuming that no one would actually do them..... Many years ago, I had a former friend actually sign me up for a subscription to a gay porn magazine after he thought I had somehow insulted him. THEN the publisher tried to sic a CA on me after I refused to pay for said subscription. Good thing you got that friend out of your life. Sounds like a psycho.

Mods are gonna jump ya for getting political, but I totally agree with you. NJ has become a cesspool. We're looking to buy a house up in Pike Co., PA and leave NJ to it's own devices. What pains me though, is that Trenton loves to see the middle class leave because we are the only ones who are complaining. If the day ever comes that the wealthy start getting hit hard in the pocketbook, they'll start moving across the river too.
