  1. SW94608 worked today...used CB link.
  2. I have an acct on my Experian credit report from 10/1999. It is from the Univ of Pgh. I withdrew from graduate school after becoming very sick back in 1999. Univ of Pgh is on my report twice. This one says sold or transferred. Then there is another stating the account was open on 1/2004. Can they still report this even though the account is 10 yrs old? TIA! EDITED TO ADD: I don't know if this should be posted under school loans, because I owed the money to the school not a lending institution.
  3. Hello, I filed a complaint with the BBB after AFNI did not properly validate my debt. In my complaint, I used info from Whychat's site on SOL (Federal statute 47 USC Section 415 for telephone or cell phone bills and the 2 year SOL). This is part of AFNI's response: Please note that the statute of limitations pertains to the remedy to collect upon an account in a court of law; it does not eliminate the underlying account or the right to request payment on the same. Is this correct? I thought they were not able to request payment past SOL. I have to submit a response within 10 days or they will close the complaint. Thanks in advance!
  4. In response to my dv letter, AFNI sent me my last phone bill from Verizon. The bill is dated 3/29/2005 This is for a home phone. I think the SOL in PA is 4 years. Should I send another DV letter or just file a complaint with BBB for sol. Thanks for any help!
