You can do a DV at any time.

how harmful are derogatory accounts with $0 balance?
dd50 replied to garyl24's topic in Credit Forum
Since they are 5 years old they don't hurt that much. -
Before you plan on paying any thing you should always DV first.

Checked my Fico score and about fell out of my chair.

Congrats! -
Why were you denied? Why couldn't you get a secured card? When I didn't have any credit on my reports I got one from CapOne. I used it all the time and paid it off. I then applied for others after about 6 months.

I've been approved!!! with a BK discharge of 8/10

Wow, congrats! -
PIF.

I have never notified them if income has went up or down. I would never include my kids income because it is theirs.

That's what I was thinking but I guess since she didn't BK they are now after her so now she is after him.

I think it depends on the teen. My daughter just turned 18 and I put her as AU on a few of my cards. I know that she will do well with credit as we have talked about it for years. She knows that I PIF every month and it I don't really have the money for the (whatever) thing I want I don't purchase it. My daughter that is 16 loves clothes and even though she has heard all the speeches I don't know if I would get her one.

How many retailers actually ask for ID?
dd50 replied to Hillbilly with Credit's topic in VISA MC policies
But.. they do! They say, "Credit or Debit." (They wait for response.) Then, if for credit, at certain retailers, they say "May I see your ID, please." Why do they do that if they are not supposed to? I promise, certain retailers will decline the sale if you dont.. When they do I tell them "NO" but you can check my signature. The ones that get nasty with me I do report. -
Why are you still using him?
-
Called and the rep said that I can't change but that I could apply for the other card. I asked if I would get denied because I just applied but she said "no". I do know from reading that you can't apply for two signature cards but I will wait for 6 months before I apply again for something. If I need the money I can always do a balance transfer to this card. Not ideal but it is what it is.

Yes, I was approved. I really don't want to apply for another card because I don't want it to drop my score even tho I don't plan on buying any thing big at this time. I usually apply every 6 to 8 months or so for a card that I really want.

What happened? I thought you were going for the Plat MC. The one with the 0% on purchases. If you are gonna app again why not app for the one you intended on instead of one that will pull 3 hards? I'm confused, am I missing something? Well, for one, it wouldn't be prudent to app back to back citi but unless for zero ft fees there are probably better options than cap1. Actually I just did this and it worked out well. I apped for the Diamond Preferred and was turned down. Two days later I apped for the Plat and was approved. No AA on existing Citi cards either. When I called for recon on the Diamond the rep actually recommended it. So I should apply for the other Citi or as them to change it? I decided against Cap One. The World one seemed to have better rewards so I applied for that but then I screwed myself. Should I apply for something now or wait? Use the link I posted on another site. It is a US Bank Visa CC (go for the Visa Platinum Card if you want it to report the limit). This CC has 0% for 15 months on BT & PURCHASES. Click HERE Enjoy. Also, app somewhat sooner rather than later, before the new Citi CC gets reported. Good luck and let us know how it goes. SuperG Thanks. That is a NAACP card. Wouldn't I look out of place as I am white but 15 months is good?
