I have a Visa w/ Patelco that I have had nearly 2 years. I am interested in the signature loan. My score are around 710. Lowe utilization, but I do have several new accounts. I have one paid CO from 2002. I am wondering who has a signature loan from them. What are the rates? Wondering if I might qualify before I waste a hard pull..................... Thanks.

Well, you could be on to something there. DH goes by his middle name. His credit reports have all kinds of variations from C. Earl (which is what he goes by) to Charlie Earl Charlie E. Charles Earl C.E. It's crazy.......... I'm off to check them more closely now.....

I just pulled DHs credit reports. He has just gone thru BK7 and was discharged in Dec 2005. So, yesterday I pulled for the first time to start the cleanup process. I pulled Truecredit and then pulled a FICO to get a base for his scores (to watch his improvement). Anyway.......according to TU, he has 27 tradelines on his TU report. According to FICO, he has 3 tradelines on his TU report. WTF??? There is aboslutely NO REASON for him to have a split file. He has no inquiries in the past 6 months by anybody, and this is the first time we have pulled in months and months. Its not possible that daily pulls would have caused a split. What could be going on here???

UPDATE..... I got a letter from Chase yesterday. It says they lowered my rate after a review of my Experian report. Reason for lowering my CL........ Too many recently opened installment / revolving accounts. In the last 6 months I have added 3 Citi cards, Eddie Bauer and AMEX......totaling $33,750 in credit. So, when somone actually gives me a decent credit line, Chase decides to lower my limit instead of getting in the ballgame and trying to keep my business??? Yeap, they're gone. Thanks for the replies folks.

So, I just got off the phone with them again. Told CSR I wanted to close the account and she put me through to a "supervisor". He looked at the acount and saw that it was indeed ONLY 1 days late, and offered to remove the $15 late fee. He is putting in a request to reverse the CL decrease, but says I will "get a letter" in 10 days with the decision. I was adament that they did not have permission to put are hard inq on my credit report. Guess we'll wait and see. If the lower CL remains I'm not sure what I'll do. The only thing the card is good for is AGE.

I'm so pissed right now. I got Chase Plat over a year ago with a pitiful CL of $500. Finally, after a year they increased to $900. I have been nothing but good to them, carried small balances, etc trying to get them to increase. NEVER even a day late on a payment. This month I posted my payment online ONE DAY late. I think my balance at the time was &60 on a $900 CL. Today I go online to pay off the balance and see that they have reduced my CL to $300. So, I call them and the CSR can't help me. They tranfser me to another dept only to get a message saying they are closed for the weekend. I'm trying not to react in haste and dump them since so many here love Chase. Why do I need to play thier stupid games when BofA, Citi and Amex all give me $10,000 credit lines???

NUTTY... I have experience with the CitiBiz Card. It was the first Citi card I ever got. They check your biz credit with Dunn and Bradstreet first and will actually approve you without a personal credit pull IF your biz credit is strong. They gave me a $20,000 inital CL with no personal pull. I can't get another biz card to touch it. BofA and Amex will only give me $3000 on the biz cards. On the personal side.... PP gave me 8.5 K (twice) Advantage gave me 7K Good Luck.

If the judgment is against your husband how will it show as a lein? There is a big difference in a judgment and a lein. If they did receive a judgment, it shouldn't show on a title report. If it's a lein and discharged they probably will want a letter of explaination. Also, I would call and see why they are doing a title report for an unsecured loan? Unsecured should be the same as a signature loan and the title would have nothing to do with it. I guess I don't understand the differences between judgements and leins. I have never had to deal with this stuff before. I just assumed that once a creditor won a judgement against you, that they automaticly searched for assets and put a lien against them. Would DH have been notified if they put a lien on the property?
-
My question exactly. It is NOT an equity line of credit. Someone from another credit board suggested that they just do the title check to make sure the APPLICANT and the PROPERTY OWNER are the same. They wouldn't want to loan me money to put a pool on a property that doesn't belong to me. I hope this is the case.
-
My understanding is this (from the BK forum).....that although the lien cannot be enforced, it also will not be removed. I anticipate a whole big mess when the title report comes back. Then I'm going to have to go thru the whole story with loan officer, etc. Drat, drat, drat.

Not sure if this is the right forum. So......Our mortgage is in DHs name ONLY at a fixed rate of 5.75% (since 2003). In 2004 my DH got very sick (no health insurance) and had to have 2 feet of his colon removed. Long story short...he was unable to work, let his Citibank credit card go into default, racked up $80,000 in medical debt. Citi got a judgement against him for around $12,000. Forward to the future.......DH files Chapter 7 to get rid of the debt and was just discharged in December 2005. Now......we are doing much much better financially and are trying to put in a pool (among other home improvements). My scores are in the 700s and my income is good. Yesterday I applied for an UNSECURED home improvement loan thru Key Bank in Charlotte, NC. My info only...not DHs. So, today the lady calls to tell me that I have been approved for the loan and that we can close in about 3 days....as soon as she gets back the "reports". What reports I ask. Well, one is flood plane and one is the TITLE REPORT. I know it's gonna show a lien from Citi. I guess my first concern is WHY they need to pull the title report for an unsecured loan. And this is gonna put my pool loan down the tubes, isn't it? And even though Citi was included in the Chapter 7..the lien still stands, right??? I'm sunk. _________________

I just got off thephone with HH. The WILL NOT let me merge my Orchard card into my HH Gold card. I went round and round with the CSR and then finally got a supervisor. He says that the Orchard and the HH are two different cards with 2 different sets of guidelines and that they cannot be merged..ever. He recommended that I PAY for a CLI on the HH Gold card, and then (if I get it) to close the Orchard card. Yeah right.

The mail came. None of my new AMEX cards came, but, I've been preapproved for a First Premier card. Other that that, just junk mail. :sigh:. There's always tomorrow.......
-
Just got off the phone with AMEX......30 minute call. A supervisor finally figured my mess out and my card is now due to be here by the 30th. They said I could call back in 48 hours and have the card "expedited" to me for my troubles. This means I'll get to stalk the FedEx man too! Still looking for a Hilton Honors and a BofA Biz Plat...so the mailman isn't in the clear yet. He's not due today for another 30 minutes. I'll let you know what comes.......
