I was really hoping to see ours today (67) but no, as well as no info on the IRS site. So I started looking to see which bank account I had sent the DD too previously. That's when I remembered that I had split the payment up into 2 accounts - most going to our savings acct and the rest going to our checking acct. What do you think will happen? I have a bad feeling that this means paper check for us

I have my free yearly credit report from Experian. It has nothing on it but 2 inquiries. Curious what my score might be around, looking to apply for a card who does a pull from Experian to try and start building my credit up if possible. (Equifax shows 1 closed & 1 collection under negative accounts and a whole lot of inquiries from when I applied for my car last year, Transunion shows shows the same 2 accounts but only 1 inquiry.) THANKS!

My husband had a student loan and got behind on the payments. They took it from his pay and it was paid off in 1998. However it keeps coming up on his credit report. It showed/shows a balance as well as 120+ late up to Apr 2007. Last time it did we called and they took it off. This time (5 years later) we find it on there again because we were trying to buy a house. Because of this we were denied the loan. We called them and they agreed it shouldn't be there and were going to remove it. However it appears that they only changed the balance to $0 but still show the lates so his score is still low. We don't even understand why they put it back on to begin with. Also now it shows the account was closed as of Apr 2007 as well, it was still "open" before our last conversation. We have contacted them (Brazos Higher Education, Texas Guaranteed Student Loan as well as the college) and they all show $0 balance. I also have the documents from payroll showing it paid on and their letters back and forth. My question is what next? My husband wants to look into suing because he feels if he doesn't take care of it big, we will be back in the same boat later down the road.

How about this? To Whom It May Concern: This is a letter asking that you please stop calling me at my place of employment as my employer prohibits this. You are affecting my job performance and interrupting me during important duties. You have my home phone number so I ask that you use that instead. If I am not home please leave me a message and I will get back to you. Sincerely,

Well come to find out a debt management agency is the one that ok'd this - without even asking us! We were in agreement that we would pay them $200 a month and now this happens. This was not part of the agreement and I feel screwed! I called Wells Fargo and they said to call back Monday and they will probably reverse the charge and then we'll cancel the agreement with the debt management place and try it our selves. They haven't been doing anything, well up until this! We keep calling them asking if they've set any agreements up with our creditors and they kept saying they are working on it. We never ok'd them to do whatever they wanted with our funds. They don't even have access to that. Thanks for all the help guys, I will keep in contact with Wells Fargo and keep trying to find someone to work with.

WELL I guess this was all of no use at all. I just got a letter from them confirming that I ok'd them to withdraw $450 from my checking account and I checked and they sure did! Is there anything I can do about this since I never ok'd anything at all????

I totally agree about being nice, but I don't see why telling them to quit calling my work would make them sue me. If y'all dont mind I am going to post a copy of my letter, I would really appreciate your opinions on it. To Whom It May Concern: I am writing you this letter because it seems the communications by telephone have become useless. I know that I am behind in my payments to you and for that I sincerely apologize. I really hate that it has gotten to this and I would give anything to have been able to keep up my payments with you. I want to pay you the money I owe you as it is my responsibility as well as my desire because it was you who gave me this opportunity. Yet I am unable to make any regular payments to you at the moment because I am going through a financial hardship. Not only has my wife lost her income, but I am on a special training at work for a new position and it has affected the hours I am able to work. Please understand that this is only temporary and I will be able to start making regular payments again hopefully towards October and plan to pay off a good bit of the balance completely if not totally next March when I receive my yearly bonus. If you will look into my payment history you will see that I have done that more than once so you can see that it is not an empty promise. I truly want to pay you the money I owe you. I know that I cannot expect to pay you nothing at all so I am hoping that you will work with me in accepting a “good intentions†payment each month of $50. Please be aware that this is the maximum that I can knowingly offer you at this time. However if we are able to we will send you more. It is taking everything we can come up with just to pay our utilities right now, so please do not think of this offer as a small one because it is not to us. I would greatly appreciate it if you can look into helping us out a bit on this. I understand that sometimes late fees can be cancelled and/or possibly rates can be lowered etc. It would help out a lot. Please keep all further contact regarding this made via USPS so that I may keep complete documentation. Sincerely,

Well I am going to send them a letter asking them to stop calling and that my employer prohibits it and will file harassment by phone charges if they don't stop. It's worth a try I figure.

Total newbie here, could you please elaborate?

Well we originally just had our checking and savings there. Then when we bought our home, just about a month or so after, the original mortgage company sold our mortgage to Wells Fargo, so that was not our doing. And with the credit card I believe it was because we had our accounts and mortgage with them that they gave it to us, because other companies were saying no when we would apply. Plus we hesitate to move our checking account from them because they are the only place we can find that offers Direct Deposit Advance which lets us borrow money when we need to and they just deduct it from his next paycheck when it's deposited. Most banks look at me strangely when I ask if they offer that, they never even heard of it.

Thanks for the tip Smokie, I will definately consider it!

I have already typed up the letter and will be adding the line about replying via USPS. Thanks!

As far as trying to get them to stop calling my job, should I try to handle this by phone or send a letter? And thanks niteraven, I will create a hard-ship letter. Sure glad I came here, I do really need all the help I can get!

df21084 - I do have a cell and know that when I get a call at work it's from them. But there are quite a few people that answer the phone at my job, plus I don't want to get them involved in my problems.

Point taken about the "hard-ball". Plus we have everything at Wells Fargo - checking, savings, mortgage. But each time I talk to them they give the impression that there is nothing to be worked out, they don't seem to care that I have been excellent in the past and this hardship will only be temporary. I will keep trying though. How would I be able to find out about my state, I live in TX?
