  1. Just got an email about Chex Sytems, here it is: Please read the following email from a member today. If you have an account at Transportation Alliance Bank, please be prepared for the worse.ThanksMary Email Below: Today i received some bad news from Trans Alliance Bank. I had opened and account with them a month ago and yesterday I forwarded another application to open a second business account. Well after going online checking my account status for my original account I noticed that my account balances were not correct therefore I called customer service and was told that I was run through checxsystems and my account was closed and that a Cashiers Check was being mailed out to me for my balance. Then I was asked how did I find out about their bank, which at that time I just stated from a relative that has been with them for some time. When I inquired why did the rep ask this of me I was told because there was a website out there telling people that they do not check chexsystems and that because of so many accounts being requested from non transpertation type businesses they are now running all applications through chexsystems and even on previouslly opened accounts. -------------------------------------ChexSystems Statistics:-------------------------------------Registered Users: 3640Total Posts: 3817Busiest Time: 25 users were online on 27th July 2009 - 12:11 PM -------------------------------------Handy Links-------------------------------------Board Address: http://www.chexvictims.net/index.phpLog In: http://www.chexvictims.net/index.php?act=L...amp;CODE=00Lost Password Recovery: http://www.chexvictims.net/index.php?act=Reg&CODE=10 This doesn't look good, anyone else actually have an account closed on them yet?
  2. He still got approved!?! That should be in your advertising
  3. I hate it when they don't update fast, and hate it even more when it takes a loooong time for the CR's to update. I think they like to watch us go crazy sometimes so we don't work too hard on our reports in the future.
  4. Great score! I wonder how much having no inquiries helped out.....
  5. Only 6, what a gip Ill start with a few to see what happens to the score, and work my way up from there. Ill post my results as they come in
  6. Remember knowing what lowers our scores is just as important as what increases them, also this thread is just a "fun" discussion. And getting back to that point, it would be interesting to see what the effects hard inquiries would have to one of my old corporate EIN's that I don't use anymore. Does anyone think I can tank the score to 300 just with a whole boat load of inquiries? Im willing to try it, any guesses to the effect, or how many might be needed? I would think there would be a limit to how many inquiries can post to one credit file, could be fun to find out what that is.
  7. All that and still a 475, you must be in a good "bucket". Don't get down on your score, stick with cleaning up your reports, use all future credit responsibly and the results will come with time.
  8. Probably an 851
  9. So far thats the best sighting we have had yet on this thread! Way to go Laura! Maybe when you get "old" it will hit 850
  10. Nothing wrong with gaining as much information as we can get even if its about how different trades can negatively affect our scores, knowledge is power. But I think more to the point in this thread; its ok to have a fun discussion now and again especially with all the pain that some of these credit companies cause us. Also I just got the info on "auto enhanced FICO", (didn't know what they were so I looked it up on our boards). That doesn't seem to be the classic FICO scoring model, so we are still looking for Sas with the elusive 850 FICO, no cheating!
  11. i'm not sure his facination with 300s and 800s both happen. It seems the scores do hit 300's, but now we are talking about a 300 even (or at least close), it would probably be tough to hit a FICO that low, but even if the odds were 1 in a million then 300 people in this country would eventually get there.... Imagine a guy posting on this forum, "got 4 derogs and 3 lates off, almost to 350! Yippie!" I wonder if you could get there with just hard inquiries? I might be willing to give it a shot on an old corp EIN that I don't use anymore. Anyone think it might work?
  12. So, to no surprise, Marvbear sourced the elusive 850, and in fact beat it! So how about a 300 even? Maybe less? (if thats even possible) Apparently the Sasquatch 850 is not only real, but is thriving in this country, but Nessy on the other hand seems to be much more elusive (which, I must admit, am glad to hear) Another question would be, what is the highest FICO that can be achieved?
  13. You gave up too quickly
  14. Why do they even have that in there, I hate it when they do that regardless of how good your credit actually is, are they suggesting there is room for improvement?
