I am following this. Can you please let me know what happened? I am also in the same boat and wanting to know what to use as excuse for dispute. It was sold before the new company took over and the new company has no info on me at all. I am wanting to dispute it and I think since there is no Litton anymore and this was before the buy of the new company, I t might just work.

We are desperatly trying to get a new home loan. The house we found is for 510,000 and we have the income to support that. Our scores are in the mid 500's. The owner will carry the balance with no payments for the first 12 months if we can get a loan for $300,000. The own the house free and clear and they are not interested in financing the whole thing or lease optioning.The house appraises for $600,000. We keep getting denied due to low scores. We even have 5% to put down and possibly 10% of the 510,000 if needed. We had an old notice of default from 2004 and in 2005 we filed a chapt 13 just to save it from going to sheriff sale but it was dismissed and we have sold that house. What can we do? We have no credit cards and no auto loans. I cant even find a hard lender anywhere. We are desperate! Please help!

Steve- YES!! My husband has never used his VA. loan. Could you tell me more about the loan and how would that work with an owner carrying part of it. I think the total of the house is too much for VA but would they go by what the owner is not carrying? That would be the $325 or $350,000. Suzy

Brian - income is 8000 per month and the sales price of home is 500,000 but we just need a loan of 350,000. No credit cards or car loans.

Okay here is the deal..... our middle score is 530.... we found a house that the owner will carry 30-35% of the loan. We have an old (2004) notice of default. We are trying to get our scores up. Can we possibly get a 65-70 % loan?

How do i get a ch13 bk that was dismissed off my record. I used the letter that was on here but then i get a report back from equifax that states that all dismissed or open or discharged will reamin for 10 years. What can i do now? Thanks!

The question i have is this.... we are wanting to get a new mortgage and have been approved through a company. My husbands middle score is 540. We are trying to raise his score (his credit is being used for the purchase) so we can get a better rate. There are about 10 collections under 200 a piece that we are paying off so the mortgage co can rescore us. Is this a good idea to wake a sleeping giant or should we pay them off and then dispute every collection on our report. There isnt that many on there besides that. We dont have any credit cards and no car loans so we are essentially debt free besides the colloctions on the report. OUr income is over 100,000 and we found a house we love that the owner will carry whatever is needed. The mortgage co will give us a 70 or 75% value of the sales price. ANy ideas on what route we should take? I have already been through the credit boards and didnt find a good answer so i thought i would ask the professionals. Suzy

Okay just curious but i got a call today out of the blue for a 15 year old debt. I about died laughing. Its for college tuition. Not a loan but for the actualy tuition itself. Whats the statue of limitations for this and is there any? I siad who signed it?? he said i dont know... i said what year is this from... he said i dont know. EKKSSSSSSS why did you do that???? You will have one heck of a time getting that refund. What you dont understand is that credit builder is realy only useful to add small time mom and pop organizations. The biggies like Lowes and ect report on their own and they report every month.
